My brother in law has just give me his brand new MB 147 traveller with case and cartiges because he's not using and thought that I might like it because I love fountain pens. :D what a present :lticaptd:

Wow what a great gift! Enjoy it. :)

The only thing my brother-in-law gives me is stress and the occasional migraine ! Enjoy the pen. The 147 with the case is a great package

You're not the only one.... :P

I got my 75th Anniversary SE in yellow gold 149 today. There will probably be a photo-fest when I get the time. I LOVE the nib on this thing. It was quick to be one of my favorites.

I have recently received my O3B nib in the 90th anniversary edition. Much too broad for daily notes and at first I thought this would be my first "trophy" pen rather than a "writer's" pen, but it seems to be quite usable for italic writing. The O3B nib is a delight to use, very smooth and good flow, provided you use it at the right angle.

From a different thread, with the same pen:

I guess the nib could be called a stub at least, perhaps a hint of cursive italic?

Gorgeous nib, it makes your already-good writing look fantastic!

Thanks! During the past months, I've spent some time watching Lloyd Reynolds videos on YouTube and have been practising with Pilot Parallel Pens. Such a joy to watch him write and hear him explain lots of little things about angle, movement etc. I was very happy to see that the O3B nib on the Montblanc 149 has this great stubbish quality that supports cursive italic quite well.

Guess what I am going to be watching today. Would like to use the O3B for more than just signing stuff so with with a bit of practice maybe I will.

I just got this danish green marbled 224 (the one on the right), i allready had one but this is a little different (cap and blind cap are not the same).

The nib was no good so i had to put a MB 134 nib on it, until i get the right one.

Absolutely beautiful. Congrats on a great pickup. Could you please add this to the non-german MBs thread?

Wonderful!

Like orfew suggested, this would be a great addition to the Non-German MB thread!

Nice. I really like the plain black MBs from the 50s, 60s, and 70,s. They are single and elegant. Thanks for the photos.

Lovely pens. Seems similar to the size difference between a 144 and a 146?
