Good choice!

I knew you would like this, GP. :)

Now, I'm waiting on my 149 75th with BB nib and a 149 90th with BB/OBBB nib (Not sure which one MB will send me yet).

Not a purchase, however quite pleased as my father gave me his old 144 and accompanying bp. As a background, my father has never bought me or my family a birthday present. never come home with flowers for my mother. It's just the way he is. He is a loving man, but not in such a way most could understand.

So when he handed me his old pen case with the two pens, I stood pens in hand, my eyes brimming with tears and voice left in a vacuum somewhere. When the very next day he handed me a rollerball and told me now I have a set, I had to ask if his doctor appointment a couple days earlier had gone ok, Lolz.

Had to share, greatest mb experience I've ever had.

I just put in an order for this one too.

Will report back when It arrives next week.

On as side note but not off topic, I did get two 149's this week.

The first one I ordered was an ebay item with a really nice cigar shaped Montblanc case and a medium point nib. I think I am the first person to ink this baby and needless to say it writes just wonderfully.

The second one was an impulse item I bought from Penboard_Tom. It is a celluloid and silver rings, fine tip flexible gold nib from 1956. I just wanted a pen that is as old as I am, and it's likely in better condition than I am. This is the smoothest writing fountain pen I have ever used.

If you ever think of getting a pen from Penboard_Tom, don't hesitate he is top notch and extremely helpful.

Needless to say my two month spending spree on pens is hopefully over with until next year after my credit cards heal up a bit.

Went a little bit overboard on some "cheaper" MBs. A couple burgundy 221s, one in F, the other an OM. A 34 with an OB nib, and a blue NOS Generations with a M. In the higher end stuff, a 74 with an OM (wow!), a 254 with a divine flexy M, and a nice 88 ball pen. Also a great burgundy MB 2-pen case in which the 74 and 254 travel in style.

I've got a few more coming to me, but I'll hold off babbling about them till I have them in hand. Wouldn't want to jinx them. :)

Nice haul. I have several of the so called lower end MBs and have found them all to be excellent writers. Enjoy your purchases.

Got this 234 with an alloy nib in the mail today.

It's a nice "semi-flex" writer...was supposedly a fine which may be correct but there was no mention of it being an oblique :headsmack:. Good thing I like obliques.
