Finally tracked down this beautiful pen, thanks to help from an FPN member.

It's the 149 75th anniversary Limited Edition, with the rose gold and mother-of-pearl star -- with a crazy OBBB nib!

Been chasing this pen for months, one of just 1,924, so happy to finally have it.

If you're going to go big...you certainly did it in the right way

In order to appreciate the sweet, you must truly taste the bitter....

Thanks everyone... Enjoying the nib, but after testing, feeling it's impractical.

Could you post a writing sample?

I enjoy having a wide range of nib sizes for different kinds of writing and different kinds of paper. That nib won't be suitable for micro writing, but I would much prefer it for other purposes such as short notes, signature, addressing envelopes, etc.

Here's a writing sample, comparing the OBBB nib on the 75th anniversary LE, with a F-XF custom ground nib on my other, regular 149. It's almost difficult to fit the OBBB writing within the confines of a single line. These are writing on Levenger's Rhodia paper.

Many congrats!

Thank you for sharing the writingsample! Just couldn't imagine how it looks like.

Now you have a really wide range of nibs.

My preferred supplier (no affiliation just a very happy customer):

Appelboom

Looks great to me! A real impact and some line variation too :)

I recently bought a pen case for my Stainless steel 146. Have been looking for this case for a while as it has been out of stock in my country.

Just got my L'Aubrac on Saturday. I have to admit, that this pen is really special. The feel of wood and the great details are just stunning. I

decided for an OBB nib, and was afraid, as this is my first oblique. Turns out I feel more comfortable than with regular nibs...

Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever

Congrad Simme that is a beautiful pen. I heard that after years of using it the wood would turn darker giving it pantina look.

I've got a sealed Octavian with fine nib coming from Germany on the 8th and a 146 75th with mop coming tomorrow-- no box or papers on this one(ebay buy- crossing fingers). I'm pretty excited about the Octavian.
