That is a fantastic pen! I am a huge fan of the 144. Mine has a BB nib, and is wonderful. We need a writing sample Soot! :)

Please don't mind the sloppy hand writing.

Thanks Soot, the line variation is everything I expected it to be, clearly a great purchase

I bought my last MB this last weekend in the Madrid Pen Show, a celluloid 146 from the early 1950s with the flat sky-slope feed. The pen is not in excellent condition but writes smoothly with a BB stubish nib and the price was really low.

What really impressed me about this pen was how wonderfully that broad nib wrote. See the writing example in blue in the pics bellow.

I also was about to bagg myself a beautiful faceted Danish MB 25, but I was slow to react and the pen escaped my hands :-(

I just bought a NOS 1972 149 with a "medium/broad, oblique, italic flexible nib" from Gary Lehrer (...probably paid too much but when I saw it I jumped on it). He had for about 5 seconds an early 50s NOS 146 for $900. What an amazing deal someone got. Does any one have suggestions about preparing to fill one of these things? Being old and never used I am worried about breaking it.

My last purchase from e-Bay: a MB 146 which I believe is from the 1970s.

A vintage 332 and 333 a couple of weeks ago

And then yesterday, a used 149. Should be with me tomorrow.

My most expensive pen purchase! Bar a new Starwalker BP for £150 all my other purchases have been sub £100 so I'm a little nervous! I suspect it may be the start of a slippery slope.

Lets hope it writes well.

My most recent is also my first, a MB solitaire 146 silver pinstipe.

Still flushing it out, but it seems quite clean, and will hopefully get a chance to use it over the weekend! :)

My last buy was the Leonardo da Vinci on 21.11 with the number 2111 :) (my birthday), my next buy is most likely the next Writers Edition as Rollerball or (because of the Leonardo) the Duke of Milan. I think the Duke and the Leonardo are a perfect fit (because of the history of Leonardo and Sforza)
