What's Your Most Recent Mb Purchase?

Blade Runner

I've just had this delivered today!

I can't afford a new MB and can barely afford many of the second hand ones either. I picked up this Starwalker though for £147. It's my first MB and I don't have any cartridges yet. I dipped it into my ink though and it writes really nicely.

In comparison to some of the pens above it's a small fish, but to me it's awesome and I'm really looking forward to getting it inked up properly.

Apologies for the dreadful photo - bad lighting conditions in my student halls

I was in a jewellers yesterday who carry a few Montblanc pens, just on the off-chance in case they had any of the new Leonardo Chalk Red ink. Unfortunately they didn't, but fortunately they did have a couple of bottles of Racing Green, which I understand is quite hard to come by these days? I also picked up a bottle of Violet, which was also in the old shape bottle.

Not sure I need two bottles, but since they were there, I thought why not... I know some people really love the colour, so worth a try I suppose.

If you ever want to get rid of one, please let me know. Great pickup

Good find! The ink is certainly much sought-after. I too happened to come across one forgotten bottle in a stationery here in San Sebastian, in the Basque Country and later on a couple of boxes of RG ink cartridges in another stationery in Madrid.

My most recent MB purchase..

A 22 from ebay. Hasn't arrived yet, but don't expect any nasty surprises... I've bought from the vendor before and had a good experience.

I envy the easy acquisition of the Violet ink. :yikes:

They had several bottles in stock, I think residents of my home town only use blue, or black ink... Actually I think the truth is they probably all use ball point pens, and chew the ends...

An allmost like new coral red danish MB 214 from the fifties and a danish MB 25 marbled 12-sided "high top" which was made between 1939 and 1943.

I will post some pictures later.

That is a fantastic pen! I am a huge fan of the 144. Mine has a BB nib, and is wonderful. We need a writing sample Soot! :)
