Some iPhone pics of my two newest...a 149 and a 232. The 149 has a 14C nib in fine and the 232 has a steel nib in medium. As you can see from the picture they write roughly the same line weight. I'm loving them both.

Congratulations Kevin!! Wonderful new acquisitions for your growing collection and nice presentation. Lovely background! I particularly like the 1960's 149 as I myself was looking for one and I am lately in a 1960's mood :-)

As a present, find below an ad that appeared in the June, 5th 1965 issue of The New Yorker: a discreetly advertised 149 Diplomat with a 14c nib like yours ;-)

Many congratulations on two fabulous pens MiamiArchStudent. Super presentation and.......as for that striking handwriting of yours.

Really appreciated the historical references idazle. Adverts, sales catalogues, manufacturer's parts lists, etc are all such important ways in which to validate a vintage collection.

Thank you Carlos! I don't know if you know your architecture, but the drawing is of the Propyläen in Munich by Leo von Klenze. I thought a drawing of mine showing a German building was appropriate to show off a German pen.

I love your scans of the ads, old advertisements are one of my favorite things to look at. Makes me want to get some old MB catalogs one day.

Ink! 4 bottles of different colors, including the absolutely beautiful Oyster Grey.

I recently replaced my 146, which had been crushed by a car :(

My last acquisition is an almost mint Montblanc Meisterstück 149 from 1969-1975: solid ebonite feed, plastic threads, 18c nib, etc.

The nib has no flex, gives some paper feedback and has an excellent inkflow, as it is said can be expected from ebonite feeds.

I've upload a few pics, including one of an advertisement published in The New Yorker in 1975 where a similar pen appears. Note that the advertised pen also sports

a 18c nib.

Excellent 149, Carlos! Love the ad you paired it with as well.

Thanks Kevin! Above all, I'm glad it writes as I like.
