I now await yet another 149 ( I swear this is my last :) ) which you may spot has quite a different nib so thought I would give it a go. Will let you know how it writes when it arrives.

Congrats on the new acquisition! Is that an original MB nib or has it been worked on? I've never seen one that fine.

I saw that one on the classifieds. Congrats! I was interested in it, too, for that nib.

However, I just bought a 232 from 1939 from Gary Lehrer, I'll post a pic when it arrives.

Thank you, Pavoni!....yeah, I don't often post here, but when I do...... ;)

Glad you like it....it is a handsome lil' guy....

Been wanting one of these for some time...missed out on some other ones before...

Workmanship is fantastic...so, best of both worlds....great classic vintage looks with new materials, lot easier on my wallet than a 'real 139'.....although would be nice to have one....

Its has been worked on being taken down to EF and, if you look closely, you will notice an extend slit with an addition hole. This is to give extra flex. Will be interesting to see how it performs.

I have the 114p (platinum plated trim). It is a lovely writer. I am used to larger pens as well but the end of the Mozart is threaded and this allows for the cap to be posted. This makes the pen more comfortable to use imho.

That's such a nice pen! I really like the cap and barrel threads. Sadly, if it is too small for you, then it's too small. I like the size, but I don't own one right now. Try posting the cap. The grip diameter is also a little thicker than the Chopin overall. Although if you hold the Chopin closer to the barrel threads it's a bit thicker than the Mozart there.

it isn't a purchase, but it is Montblanc related ( I paid for the stamp to send it to Hamburg, so in a sense..).
Backstory: A month or 2 ago I sent them a letter kindly asking if they could send me a catalogue of their pens from the 1950's ( my grandfather has a 142G and I wanted to surprise him ) and guess what I found in the mail today :D

It's a copy of one , but then again, I'm stoked they went through the trouble of copying an original and send it to me. Suppose original catalogues from the 50's are quite rare

Anyway, catalogues are nice. I wonder if there is someone who would scan up these catalogues for people to look at.

If that works, I would a) faint because you managed to convince them to send you one and b ) immediately write a letter myself

Didn't anyone scan those already ( the thread has even been stickied if I remember correctly ) ?

Could be wrong though

There is a 1950's catalogue there, but the more the merrier I guess.
