Congratulations, Zdenek, that is an incredible nib on your beautiful 149, OBBb!

Nice case, cool boots, Viberg is a pleasant drive away from me.

Thank you for sharing.

These are some of my favorite pens, the 31, 32, and 34, referred to as 3rd tier Montblanc, but the piston, the nibs and the fit and finish are as good as the 12 and 14 Meisterstück.

Great pen. I alternate mine with a #14 as my daily desk pen, comfortable, dependable, and attractive.

Love the Vibergs, Zdenek. I love workboots, my standard winter boot is a pair of Red Wing 877s.
And, on a more related topic, I have a wartime 236 with BB nib that I recently purchased. I'm using the seller's photo as they illustrate the pen sufficiently.
The nib is a BB but its extremely stubby with ridiculously fine cross strokes and very broad downstrokes. Its quite nice.

Nice acquisition, congrats. I almost bid on that one myself.

These pens are often overlooked, but I have found them to be excellent pens.

So it was you that won the bid! :)

Congrats, a new addition to a superb vintage MB collection. It's great when after having taken risk at buying on e-Bay the pen turns out to be an excellent writer, isn't it?

I'm waiting for the 136 (and a 138 too ;) ), which should be delivered on Monday. I'll post pics.

Lovely 149, Zdenek. Nice pictures too. :D

I really like the 142 as well, collectiblepens. I saw your other post with the picture of it. I'm sure you'll be able to restore those accent rings.

Thanks!

Yupp, after losing out on many wartime MBs in the past I was determined not to lose this one. It is always great when the risk on eBay pays off.

Looking forward to pics of both the136 and 138!

Just got another Vintage Montblanc, my second within the past 7 days. I guess the addiction is getting stronger :bunny01: .... Anyway, it is a nice 234 1/2 with a BB nib that could use a restoration.

Pavoni, your collection makes me jealous! I could not even imagine owning that many vintage MB's! Just out of curiosity, do you buy them in such nice condition or do you get all of your vintage MB's restored?

Thanks

Hi collectiblepens.

For my collection(s) I have always tried to buy the best I could find AND afford. This probably accounts for some 85% of those pens I have acquired. Admittedly, I have occasionally felt compelled to take a punt on a rare (ish) model, in the hope I can have it repaired (so far I have been very lucky).

ALL my vintage pens have been away for either servicing, makeovers, or repairs and for this, I rely on the wonderful skills of :notworthy1: Max Schrage, :notworthy1: Francis (Fountainbel) Goossens, and :notworthy1: Eric (eckiethump) Wilson, all legends and absolute Gents and without whom I would not have a collection worthy of sharing  However, it is about time I pulled my finger out and started to do my own servicing at least.

Pavoni.
