Repairers In Australia

AndrewCooper

Recommended Posts

Hi

This is my first post so I hope I am setting it up correctly, putting it in the right place, and all those things!

I recently purchased a Vacumatic with the lockdown mechanism. It needs repairing. I assume the sac has degraded. I live in Mwelbourne Australia and I'm hoping somebody might be able to recommend a repairer in this part of the world. From my reading of the other posts I'm guessing most of you are in the U.S. so the repairers you are recommending are there also.

Thanks

Andrew

Hi Andrew

What's more, they're in Melbourne. I've been meaning to send a few pens to him because no place in Adelaide does repairs.

Hi

Thanks for that. I sent a Conway Stewart to those people a few years ago and they seemed to do a very good job. I'd forgotten about them. Interestingly, I have just taken a walk around the corner to Pen City in Elizabeth St, Melbourne, and the chap there assured me that he (Pen City) was the only person in Australia who repairs Vacumatics! And yet the Vintagepens website lists Vacumatics as one of their top repairs.

Peter Ford at VintagePens is very helpful - and his site has his phone number.........I always ring first. I know he goes overseas to attend shows........but don't know which ones. Last year he was at the Melbourne Pen Show - and I rate him very highly! No affiliation, just one happy customer in Tassie.

Each day is the start of the rest of your life!

Make it count!!!

Peter Ford is the MAN. He's always been quite helpful and customer friendly. I recommend him highly. A satisfied customer, no affiliation otherwise. Jim

John at Pen City is very reliable and guarantees his work. Excellent business. I know Peter and his reputation is good too but I haven't used him to service a pen.
