yes ,Charles Ackerman can take a long time to deliver orders, but as I own 3 pump pens ,I do not totally agree to the understated bashing his pens receive here and there in this forum ,I use them to draw with rather thick inks : indian ink, acrylic ink, sumi ink, and with some patience to tame the beasts ,after some tinkering and modifications, for example adding an home made overfeed on the nibs, I obtain very good results each time I use them, the building quality is really good for the price, the pens, if properly cared of, resist fearly well to wear and time, and Charles Ackerman is always eager to improve his models, this is not a mundane fountain pen, It is a very clever tool, for those who remember, the Pelikan Graphos with its proprietary nibs whas not a lot more easier to use.

Glad to hear you have had a positive experience with your Ackermans.  How did you DIY your overfeed?  Would you kindly share? Tks!

I waited 14 days for this suboptimal pen (Manga Nikko G overfeed) to arrive.  I live 4 hours away from the business address.  The item was tracked and went to Trenton, NJ for some reason.  That aside,

the pen takes a cartridge and literally drips and blobs ink onto the paper.  My hands are all red trying to make this thing work.  The other issue is getting the nib and overfeed down far enough to avoid hitting the tip of the nib with the cap screwed all the way.  It is going back to the seller and maybe, I'll see a refund eventually.  It had minimal packaging.

Check out this new flickr page for pen wraps
