I'm enjoying all these photos of journal pages, but, sidestreaker, yours is about what I want mine to look like... I love it!

Looking at the entrys is a pleasure, they all are very nice! Sidestreaker, your drawings/scribbles/Layouts are excellent, IMO, congrats!

I have no chance of ever creating something as beautiful as the journal pages of Sidestreaker, Xander, Watch_Art, Edgar Allen Bo, caliken, or others here. But I have enjoyed keeping a journal. Mine was made by TMLee.

In September I got an idea (from a thread here on FPN, I think) to start a Gratitude Journal, keeping track of thinks for which I am thankful. As a lawyer, I see lots of people every day who are in just the opposite mode, and I needed something to re-orient myself at the end of each day. So every so often I pick a pen from the 8 to 12 I usually have inked and write a half page or more of something that happened during the day that made me smile, or for which I am thankful. I don't write every day, maybe three or four times a week, but the exercise has made me think more of what I've been given, the blessings in my life, and helps me from getting negative.

Here are a few pages:

Thanks very much, Gerd, I really appreciate the compliment. But this is what I think of as creative:

And this is what I think of as nice - WOW!

And this one - just amazing. I wish I had a thimble full of the talent of these folks!

Ouote dcpritch: Thanks very much...etc.

All the entrys you have attached are very nice and well done and I appreciate them, too, without doubt! But in my opinion creativity is not necessarily connected with great artistic ability, but the idea to do something new to look at and to get some satisfaction with this effort. In this case with paper, ink and fountain pen. Your work is nice and creative, IMHO! Enjoy!

(It's not so easy to me to explain this exactly, because school and english lessons are 40 years ago. Bur I think, you know what I mean). Thanks you for your understanding.

Thank you all for your kind words :)

My entries in my journal was inspired by my lecturer during my architectural education, where he encourages us to put our thoughts and opinions of our built environment on paper as best as possible. What I lack in my handwriting, I try to compensate with my sketches  . Having said that, here are some of the entries in this thread, IMO, that's really outstanding, which I just can't get enough of.

This is as close as I've come to actual journalling. This is from a history of my family, which I wrote out, some time ago.

Fabulous journals - and inks and pens oh my! I too have found that writing things out - something that balances the negativity of being in court - is a very important part of maintaining a "sunny side up" disposition!

Oh, what beautiful pages! Here's what I've been doing recently. Inspired by Three good things from your day, I make a few notes for each day, although I do sometimes include the not-so-good things as well.

fpn_1334738631__journal-page-2-web.jpg

Have been doing this since the beginning of April. I try to write at the end of the day, or first thing next morning. If I wait too long, I forget the little things I want to mention in these entries.

journaling / tinkering with pens / sailing / photography / software development
