Oh my. Should I call someone? Do you need to be checked into a padded room? I am concerned about this recent bout of depression.

The padded room would be nice....

Can it be in your caboose?

A mixture of Tanzanite and Hero 233 blue, taming an Ahab and that's messy work.

Noodlers' Bad Belted Kingfisher. Dipped the pen in too deep, so from the section onto my fingers. Looks pretty waterproof to me ...

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Fabienne, I agree with respect to the messiness factor. I took out my Ahab's nib to use the Dremel on it and chickened out. So, I pushed the nib back and discovered it wouldn't slide in all the way. I doubled up a scrap piece of silk kimono and pushed the nib against that but apparently I pushed too hard and bent the very tip. So, I tried to fix it with my fingers and then my pliers from my Binder repair kit. Now, the nib flings droplets of ink everywhere when I write so I've ruined the stupid thing and am really irritated at myself! :P

Quink Black-Blue. An ungodly amount of Quink Black-Blue. The bottle was so tight that this was almost unavoidable, really. At least it's a nice ink.

Pilot Blue-Black this evening, fortunately relatively contained to thumb and index finger of left hand.

You need heat in Vegas?

(Do you walk on the ceilings every where else?)

Welcome aboard! My wife is a J. Herbin fan.

No inky fingers so far today, I'm still on coffee; the other day they were a mixture of ESS' Registrar's Blue-black and Edelstein's Tanzanite.

It's a raging inferno here; as I write this the temp in my yard is 27F. It's warmer than Tuesday (7F) but this is supposedly the Sunny South, not Saskatchewan. I'll be having words with the Met. folks later on.

Amber, your photo is upside-down. :)

Well, as a restarter newbie currently I have Parker's Quink Blue (Pernament), but I just find out a "cheap" (considering ink prices here) source of J. Herbin inks in my city, and immediately ordered four new ink:
Echlat de Saphir (16)
Larme de Cassis (78)
Rose Tendresse (61)
leu Pervence (13)

The ceiling on that baby is a very nice oak.

Welcome aboard! At least the pen and ink are pretty even if you now have green pockets. In the future remember, you want Green IN the pockets not ON the pockets.

Iroshizuku Kon-peki. I always make a mess when the stryofoam insert sticks to the opening when the cap is removed.

Roher and Klingner Cassia. Finishing up a sample can get a little messy...

I plug things in, I push buttons, and I pick things up and put them down in different places. And when I have a chance I write things down!

I scribbled only a few notes this morning, really just 7 lenses and their weights and yet I managed to get Private Reserve Tropical Blue on my fingers.

Today (so far) a blue-ish mixture of Private Reserve Cosmic Cobalt; ESS' Registrar's Blue-black and an unknown blue from a "new" Kaweco V16N I'm cleaning.

Lava soap and cheap alcohol-based hand cleaner are our friends.
