My ink mix smudged on the Rhodia dot pad.

Oh, that happened to me during a work meeting a couple of weeks ago with PR Blue Suede on Oxford paper. Not a fine moment for someone who tries to inspire others to use fountain pens

Mont Blanc Midnight Blue (old IG formula) -- new pen, new filing system = less than clean fill. I'm telling myself it's a badge of honor today.

Good Choice.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

So far, today, it's been Organics Studio Purpillusion. Apparently it was getting a bit low in the Noodler's FPC it was in, and getting cloggy -- I'd write for a while in my journal and it would be fine, but then just stop (even though I could see some ink sloshing around in the window). I had to move the piston forward several times, just to get through the three pages of my morning pages journal, and also wet my finger with saliva a couple of times to moisten the nib (so there are a bunch of lines on my left index finger, from getting the pen to start).

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

It's Refill Day to-day; so far a mix of ESS' Registrar's Blue-black and Noodler's Bad Black Moccasin. I missed with the P.R. Cosmic Cobalt because I was neat for a change. Rest assured, that's not a frequent occurence. ;)

I'm new. I see that you enjoy the ink on your fingers. If one should want clean fingers after playing with a pen, is there a cleaning solution?

Thanks

Looking for a black SJ Transitional Esterbrook Pen. (It's smaller than an sj)
