What Color Are Your Fingers Today?

GouletPens

Recommended Posts

My mother was discharged, following a short stay at the hospital. I drove her home, while my brothers packed her things from the hospital room -- clothes, slippers, flowers, "get-well" cards. When we gathered to unpack, I found two extra bath towels (?), a large canister of disinfectant wipes, and 1-1/2 boxes of rubber gloves. Ex post facto : my fingers are clean, and will remain so for the foreseeable future.

(They are lucky my bros didn't take the furniture.)

:ninja:

Sasha, I'm very glad you mom is home now. Hope you can ink up again soon.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Two Esties arrived from eBay, and one had a touch of some green ink in it. Obviously I don't know what it is.

Topped up and decanted 96 Parker Penman Sapphire cartridges (bought from Pokydady a year or so ago).

Got PPS on my fingers, my desk, my shirt, my abdomen (after taking the shirt off) and, nearly, the cat. But she's a torty, and it wouldn't have shown up much anyway.

Waterman Black - I am never using this ink again. My fault for straying from Noodler's X-Feather...

This kinda weird pale-reddish-pinkish color--oh, wait, this is supposed to relate to ink stains, isn't it?

I always tend to get ink fingers during fill and never anytime else. Wish it was the olden times where you could get house staff like a Butler to do it for you. LOL.

Um, let's see. Today it's Noodler's Kung Te Cheng, Private Reserve Ebony Purple, and I think a bit of R&K Scabiosa. The PR Burgundy Mist in one of my Vectors seems to have been a little behaved, and the Organics Studio Potassium (in another Vector, the one with the F Italic nib in it at present) didn't get used enough for me to have gotten any on me. Although, thanks to one of the cats deciding that discretion was the better part of valor when dealing with her "sister" (who is smaller, but is the self-appointed "Queen of the House" -- and also not declawed) I nearly ended up with Ebony Purple on my settee as well....

R&K's Solferino, Monteverde's Purple (I think), and what I think is either Noodler's Apache Sunset or Habenero. I was washing out two of my Lamy Safaris and Jinhao 1200. The Jinhao has been sitting for that long that I have no recollection what the ink was. It might even be diluted Kiowa Pecan. O_o

Sheaffer Blue-Black. I like the colour, though it seems to skip on too smooth paper, or paper with hand oils on it--I am marking essays right now, and the skipping is not so predictable, so I am guessing this is why.

Diamine Majestic. Blue - everywhere. I filled my Lamy Nexx and like the clutz I am, I managed to get ink all over my hand. How? I have no idea.
