Some years ago I bought a bottle of Parker Penman Sapphire on eBay. ( It only cost me $6 + $5, but don't tell anybody...)

The lid wasn't on 100% tight...

Black and blue again....

but not ink (ouch!)

:gaah:

In the immortal words of the guy who was my husband's best man at the wedding:

"Don't DO that!"

Me, today, it's Noodler's Liberty's Elysium (and in some of the weirdest places) and Organics Studio Emily Dickinson (which is actually from filling a pen *yesterday*...).

So far, anyway. But the day is still young.

For a short while I had Organics Studios Lab Series #10 on my fingers but it washed off nicely.

Still have a stain from an ancient unknown black/blue ink after helping a gentleman last weekend change out a nib on a Waterman 100 year.

Visconti Blue. I had to transfer a new bottle of the stuff to a decent glass bottle, so I poured it into an old cleaned out Waterman ink bottle. I did a very good job, but got some on the fingers - darn. I am using it in my Lamy 2000 medium, a good match.

The worst part is it's under my thumbnail, but don't worry, when I hit it with the driver's bit it poked a small hole, so the pressure doesn't build up......

Now if it would just quit oozing...

As far as ink, a bit of Pelikan blue (great for work!) but most has washed of at this point...

Organics Studio Edgar Allan Poe Raven Red. Wore gloves when I loaded my Safari with it, but...

It would seem I did not get all of it off the section with the paper towel. Not to worry: the skin on my middle finger did an admirable job of mopping up.

Added bonus: given that nice, natural blood red color, it doesn't look out of place on my finger at all.

Today was a big pen cleaning day for me. My fingers are an odd combination of Waterman's Harmonious Green, Serenity Blue, and Mysterious Purple as well as Aurora Black and Iroshizuku Kon-Peki.

PELIKAN - Too many birds in the flock to count. My pen chest has proven to be a most fertile breeding ground.

Diamine Deep Magenta. Noodler's Konrad pens just fit in the 30ml openings, and cause the ink to overflow when first filling from the bottle....
