What Color Are Your Fingers Today?

GouletPens

Recommended Posts

As several folks have indicated in the, "favorite purple," thread, it really is its own color - my fingers are Tanzenite today. Apparently my Liseur converter had a fight with the ink, and now I have a barrel full of it. My fingers haven't been this messy in a long time.

Nothing now, but earlier I had Noodler's Apache Sunset and Noodler's Kung Te Cheng.

Yesterday it was Liberty's Elysium.

I just flushed out and thoroughly cleaned my first generation Parker 75 and refilled it with Skrip Blue...as it was when I was a student 43 years ago . After commencing work we had Quink Blue Black and Black provided free, so I changed. I am into a little nostalgia at the moment.

Noodler's Bad Belted Kingfisher. I had filled my Waterman Expert II yesterday and following a very clumsy move of mine, it made a beautiful tumble and landed on the kitchen floor. Splat! I quickly grabbed a few paper towels and managed to save the floor. Upon examining the nib over the kitchen sink, my fingers started turning blue: the converter had cracked and it was leaking ink heavily.

Twenty minutes of soaking and scrubbing, a bath at the end of the day, a good night's sleep and my fingers are still blue.

The pen is fine, though. I just need a new converter.

Combo! Noodler's BSB and Heart of Darkness. All from one pen. Emptied my HS, got BSB on my hands. Cleaned (a few times) to make sure it was all gone. Filled with HoD, hands are stained again. Oops.

My fingers today. I've been picking more pokeberries for another batch of ink.

This is what my hands look like after the bottle of Sailor Grenade didn't want to decant. :headsmack:

Chlorinated pool water took a lot of it off.

Lamy Black because it is the only ink I have. Just bought my first FP 4 weeks ago Lamy Safari with the Lamy black ink

I just upgraded to a sailor 1911 Medium and have ordered some Pilot Iroshizuku Tsuki-yo to put in it. Looking forward to have that color on my fingers soon

Private Reserve American Blue today. Sheaffer vac fillers present a particular challenge for me with regards to keeping my fingers clean . . .
