Writing a LOT of notes before my final tomorrow and filling up ink samples for my friend who helped me with notes. sharing is caring I'm told.

Ugh. I should have taken a picture of my De Atramentis Hyacinth stained fingers last week. My left pointer was dark blue from tip just past the first knuckle. My thumb was likewise stained, but something I did later on took most of it off. I liked the colour but the scent got to me after a bit. To be fair, De Atramentis inks have been among my favorites for how they behave in the pen and on the paper. I am not sure how fussy I am about scented inks in general, but Elderberries was nice

 

This weekend would have been Noodler's green. I switched from a fine to a broad nib on one of my piston fillers when it was 3/4 full only to find that the broad nib had pinched tines and was clicking. Trying to fix it without removing the nib and feed and cleaning it resulted in a set of very very green digits. I thought I liked Noodler's Green when I was using a fine nib... in a broad, I absolutely love it.

 

Today, it would be Noodler's Red Black (fiddling with an Ahab) and Iroshizuku Yama budo (from a mishap). I am putting Yama budo on my Christmas wish list. It is a long way off, but I have to show some reserve. Besides it makes easy to shop for me. I have a bottle of Noodler's Red-Black. This is, to date, one of my favorite inks that I would use every day.

 

Later on this week, I expect to have a run-in with Noodler's Navajo Turquoise. I must remember to take a photo if things get messy

I got a tiny spot of Noodler's Black on my left index finger this morning. Washed right off . . .

Thankfully not, lol. I've found that Baystate Blue seems almost impossible to remove when you are actually trying to clean it off, regardless of what you do, but when you sleep on it it disappears. I should've taken a picture, could've used it to freak out the non FP users :roflmho: . Thankfully a little BSB goes a long way, my bottle is still mostly full. This just reminds me why I keep my BSB at my desk as my "work" ink, lol.
