A mixture of various purples, as I ran my purple inks through trials today (BSiNAV, Burgundy, Sheaffer Lavender, Purple Heart, Waterman Purple). All from a lovely semi-flex Parkette.

Also some HoD.

Just looked at my left hand and it has smudges of Noodlers Navy all over it. Now where it came from is a mystery to me! It's not from my pen or from the bottle, as I just checked both.

That has happened to me and I found that the pen I was using had ink leak out from the nib, perhaps by being dropped on the desk, and it was in the cap and on the barrel. I regularly clean inside the caps now with rolled up tissue.

best wishes

Caran d'Ache Carbon; J. Herbin Perle Noire; De Atramentis Black Edition - Black; Lamy Black; Montegrappa Black; Parker Quink Permanent Black; Pelikan Brilliant Black 4001; Sailor Kiwa-Guro Pigmented Nano Black. Not final list, PM me with further worthy test subjects

Yesterday, I was covered in purple ink. Some Pilot cartridge that came with my Plumix, which I was fiddling with to see if I could take it apart (I can, just like the Pluminix). Today? I haven't picked up a pen yet, so who knows?

Sailor Jentle Blue/Black. I was given a bottle by my local pen shop to try, so I have fired up a gold filled Sonnet with an upgraded two tone 18ct nib. I have not used the pen for 12 years and gave it a service today.

Best wishes

I really like these inks -- they come out two-toned. any more inks that are like these?

Diamine Red Dragon.

It is a great color, both on the page and on my hands.

Nope. Don't believe a word of it. Post a review or it never happened. :)

I don't have a camera or scanner with me to get a good image. Neither my phone camera nor my laptop's webcam are up to the task.

I'll see what I can do tonight when I get home.

Ok, here is a quick scan of Oxblood and Red Dragon, alongside a few other inks that can be used as reference to help calibrate.

Diamine Oxblood today. I mailed my tax returns this afternoon and for years I have used Oxblood whenever the need arises to write out a check and send even more money to the government.

Congrats!

Today's a slight staining of Sheaffer black from refilling a cartridge with a syringe.

This is the end of the first day on which I have used Sailor Jentle Blue/Black. My first impressions are that it is not too dry or too wet, just enough wetness for me ,and on my medium 18ct Sonnet nib writes fast. It has a distinctive blue black colour.

best wishes
