GouletPens

gruene cactus eel. tried it for the first time, in my flex pen. nice color, but drying time and feathering are problematic. how does the standard gruene cactus behave?

No picture but the ink I had on my fingers today you couldn't see anyway (unless you put your hands under a black light); Noodler's Blue Ghost. :P

Noodler's V-mail Midway Blue. I got a box full of ink and other stuff from Gouletpens and did not know that the Noodler's bottle were so full. Also got a couple of bottles of J. Herbin Rouge Hematite 1670 but di not get any of that on me, yet.

They should put a warning on those bottles! I spilled some on my carpet forgetting they were so full. It's good that with Noodler's you always get a full bottle though.

Iroshizuku's Syo-ro, courtesy of flushing and refilling my Visconti Black Divina with a REALLY stiff piston plunger. I end up rotating the pen in the ink jar with one hand, while gripping the stem with my other hand using one of those rubber jar lid openers. :headsmack:

Private Reserve American Blue.

Fortunately, this ink isn't very waterproof and I managed to scrub it off my fingers. Had been doing a little handwriting practice, copying some text I'd read, having a little fun when I thought my pen ran a little dry. Figured I might as well top it up before leaving for work, I turned the piston knop to force all the air out. And I guess it wasn't quite as empty as I thought it was. Oops.

I was playing experimental ink mixing ;)

It's a combination of Noodler's Walnut Brown and J.Herbin Violet india ink :)

(these would be so good for theatrical bruising makeup, LOL)

Yesterday I was all Yama-Budo-y

Took about a day to get rid of the stains...which is better than some other colors!

Saturday my fingers were Black/ Magenta/ Cyan/ Yellow, not from fountain pens but from using a Universal Inkjet Refill Kit when our printer ink ran dry. With the prices of printer ink still skyrocketing, no cash-flow to pay the premium costs, I had to go back to the old messy method of cartridge refilling. Funny how the box clearly states "Refills your printer cartridges quickly, easily, cheaply and with no mess!" yeah, right! No mess my big toe, that's in no way true when refilling my Canon ip4200 printer!

OK, enough regressing, on to today:

Today my fingers are a nice color of Japanese Winter Persimmon, from topping off the Iroshizuku Fuyu-gaki my wife uses exclusively in her Pelikan M400 White/Honey Tortoise fountain pen for her. I have a touch of Noodler's Polar Brown on my fingers also while refilling my Platinum Preppy ED filler pen. Combined I have a sweet fruity color and a darker earthy color to my fingers. I'm going to use a drop of Dawn dish washing liquid and a no-scratch scrub pad as I know that always gets ANY ink stains off my fingers and/ or skin, it have never failed me yet!

I'm still wearing quite a bit of Bad Belted Kingfisher from having to fiddle with a nib earlier today.

I came here for the pictures and stayed for the conversation.

Good choice in ink you have there, Wendy, one of my favorites!

I fell in love with Bad Belted Kingfisher when sent a sample bottle to try. My favorite above that is Bad Blue Heron that I also got as a sample, as I really like the dark turquoise undertones it has. One day I'd like to have one of each color of the Wardens' Series of Noodler's inks, maybe once I sell off some of my fountain pens I'll be able to make it happen!

;)

I forgot to tighten the cap on my Herbin apple scented green. Ah well, at least I got the drops off the hardwood floor fast enough. But my left hand :headsmack:

Lately, it is always DC Supershow Blue. Because I am really into it, but also because it is REALLY INTO ME! Not nib creep, finger creep.

Any tips on cleaning fingers at work?

Cheers,

Finally got the Diamine Chocolate Brown off the fingers from yesterday. I think the white skirt is toast. Wish I knew why my Vintage Pelikan keeps spitting up on me.
