Iroshizuku Kon-Peki, J. Herbin Rouge Bourgogne, and a mystery blue ink (very pretty) from a pen bought at an antique show.

Still have some traces of PR Blue Suede from when I inked my Lamy Studio last night. I love the ink, but it's a royal pain to get off my fingers.

I need to scale back my ink'd pens. I am afraid the summer heat is going to gum up the insides. I just need two pens ink'd for now but I have 7 of them ink'd. I am washing them and letting them air dry as I finish up the ink. The desert southwestern US can dry up a fountain pen pretty quick. :glare:

J. Herbin Rouge Bourgogne (which, interestingly, looks like blood when it concentrates in an area and dries - had an interesting few moments trying to figure out how I'd maimed myself) and Rose Cyclamen.

  • 3 weeks later...

Many fingers where Diamine Twilight last night.

Received my order from Diamine and one of the PVC bottles was damaged in transit. Everything in the package had Twilight on it - what a mess.

Fortunately I only lost about 2ml of the Twilight ink, so I think the damage was done locally.

Iroshizuku Kon-Peki on my left index finger, Yama-Budo on my right index finger and palm.

Not terribly surprising since those are the only inks I'm currently using.

Messy little fingertips of Montlanc Racing Green from a slightly leaky but loved wartime Montblanc 333 1/2!

So it is... No one in my office understands why I carry a little cleaning cloth with me :-)

Little bit of Noodler's Golden Brown, and a lot of Edelstein Jade.

J. Herbin Perle Noire. Also spilled it all over the carrera marble countertop in my bathroom. Luckily it all cleaned up. So glad it was BSB.

One fingernail nicely outlined all the way around with PR Chocolat, and a palm with splodges of Diamine Woodland Green from when I picked up my nib wiper in exactly the wettest spot.

I've got half a dozen inks sitting in my post office. Goulet gets my inks to me in two days. They arrive at my post office within 48 hours, never longer. Goulet rocks! Then my post office takes 48 hours to get them into my PO box.

So, I WISH my fingers had the color of Noodler's Burgundy. They will by......Tuesday.

I get ink on my hands all the time, as all of us fountain pen lovers do. Even though I've been using them for a while I still get ink on my hands no matter how careful I am. I use fountain pens every day, and worse yet, I like to play with all kinds of colors in all kinds of pens, so I'm always flushing and filling....which means my hands are perpetually colorful. If all this wasn't bad enough, I do up all of my ink samples and swabs for GouletPens, so you wanna talk about opportunities for colorful hands, you got it! I view my colored fingers as a right of passage, a sign that I am enlightened to a higher appreciation for writing....at least that's my justification

Yesterday I had a thumb with some Diamine Majestic Purple. Today my other thumb has PR Avacado with a splash of J. Herbin Rouge Hematite (1670) on various fingers (decanting!). So I ask you, what color are your fingers today? :headsmack:

Maintenance day for me, refilling low pens, flushing and refilling problem pens/inks, so:

J. Herbin Perle Noire - stubborn Noodler's Rollerball wouldn't start so I gave it bit of a flick

J. Herbin Cacao de Bresil - knocked over my sampler vial

Diamine Imperial Purple - took a lot of flushing to get the old custom ink mix out of the pen
