Got my Ice and Smoke F-C 02, and filled her with my favourite purple.....Montblanc Lavender.

We're flying to Singapore tomorrow, so hoping she behaves....unlike my Parker 51 which didn't like the journey to Korea last week

On my fingers, on the dog's paw and on the carpet - J Herbin Bleu Pervenche (hope I spelled that right).

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

Pelikan brilliant black, brilliant red (very old), royal blue, dark green and blue black. Also, Diamine Saddle Brown. Oh! And Standardgraph Burgundy and Poppy Red, too.

Sigh.

I have a Stipula Casa Mila pen that has only caused me problems. When I turn the piston ink leaks from the top of the barrel where the turning mechanism is. That's why I have ink all over my hands.

Anyone else have this problem. I have tried to have it fixed several times with no success. Any thoughts.

Ink from the back of the pen usually means leaky piston seal. Try keeping the piston somewhere halfway down and put it in a glass of tissues with the nib up for a bit; if that leaks, too, that's your problem. I'm not entirely sure why it would only leak when you're turning the piston, though.

/EDIT: also, you might want to take that to the Repair Q&A subforum instead, ideally with a few pictures and a more detailed explanation... sounds like something you'd need to get fixed professionally, though, so be prepared for that.

Two 1/4" spots of Tsuki-yo and a tiny smidge of Yama-budo, from refilling the carts of a JIF and an Herbin roller, respectively.

Encre Indélébile Yard Dog & Ass. N° 1, my own "brand."

It's a brownish black, and it's made from stuff I sourced here on my property.

Dip pen use only.

I may not have been much help, but I DID bump your thread up to the top.

A light shadow of the massive amounts of BayState Blue I spilled all over my left hand and a few lines of it my right thumb nail. I'm actually surprised of how fast it is coming off my skin. This morning I could already picture myself in a meeting with a bright blue inky left hand!

The answer is blue-sh, specifically from some amount of Chesterfield Sapphire, and some amount of Swishmix (Noodler's) Glacier Blue*.

The Chesterfield Sapphire is on my left hand, and the Glacier Blue is on my right hand.

I was writing with a pen that had Glacier Blue in it, and that ink just nib creeps like mad in that fountain pen. That's how it got on my right hand.

The Chesterfield Sapphire is an ink I'd bought last year and which I am just getting around to trying out. The Chesterfield inks came in plastic bottles. I've learned my lesson with plastic bottles of fountain pen ink, so I decided to decant the Chesterfield inks I've gotten into some four ounce amber glass Boston Round bottles. I took out half a mL of Chesterfield Sapphire, at most, and injected it into a cartridge for testing. That went just fine. I then decided to decant the plastic bottle into the glass bottle on the bathroom sink, just to be safe. That turned out to be a good decision.

So I thought that the glass bottle would take everything left in the plastic bottle with room to spare. I poured the ink from the plastic bottle into the funnel and thus into the glass bottle. I was quite surprised to find a positive meniscus forming at the mouth of the glass bottle :headsmack: , and I still had some ink left in the plastic bottle. I had to rush to grab a syringe to draw off the extra ink. Some drops did make their way down the bottle's side before I could draw it all off. And so I got some on my left hand, which I'd used to steady the bottle while I did all of this, and some ink got on the sink. Better the sink than the coffee table, which is where it would have gone otherwise. A lot better. I'll know to fill a sample vial with ink before I start to decant the next Chesterfield bottle. Four or five mL of ink taken out ahead of the decanting process should allow the glass bottle to be filled without mishap.

* Swishmix was an exclusive set of Noodler's inks done for Swisher Pens years ago. I think that Glacier Blue was a mixture of Noodler's Gulf Stream Blue, an "eternal" ink, and Noodler's Blue, an ordinary ink. Swisher Pens is no longer in business.

On a sacred quest for the perfect blue ink mixture!

Lgsoltek: I guess I like to live dangerously. 😜

Seriously though it is THE color of my company. So I am considering keeping it in a cheap pen. So far I have not stayed anything permanently and it has gotten me plus points at the office 😇🤓😊
