Swapping out a 03 nib for a 05 in a Preppy. Was being real careful, but still managed to get a touch of BSB on a couple of fingers. Oh well, give it a couple of days.

They're okay at the moment, but yesterday was a different story. Yesterday my fingers had lots and lots of Noodler's BSB on them. Several times over the course of the day and evening. Ink Nix got most of it.... But the only way to get it off my thumbnail was with nail clippers.... Seriously.

We won't talk about the bathroom sink and vanity. Really. Just. Not. ("These are not the droids you're looking for...").

De Atramentis Document Dunkelblau. Got a bit messy when I was filling my Jinhao X450 with a syringe.

Since I've been testing samples and working on my ink journal yesterday I have a really interesting mixture of inks on my hands today...

(A lot of red. I've been asked twice so far if I have hurt my fingers ;-))

I've gotten most of it washed off, but earlier today there was a bit of Noodler's Heart of Darkness -- the ink had burped into the cap of the Noodler's Charlie eyedropper it's in (the downside of eyedroppers when they're not kept completely filled). As a result, there was then ink on the threads of the cap, and then on the threads of the back of the section, and then on my hand....

Fortunately I was able to get most of the worst of it off in the car dealership bathroom, and a tissue and a little spit got most of the threads and section cleaned up -- at least for now....

I have a fairly dark stain from Akkerman Rembrandt Crimson. I inked up a new pen (Danitro with a broad nib stubbed by John at nibs.com) and neglected to fully clean the section before writing, my right index finger has an Crimson oval at the moment as I did not notice it until I finished writing two pages. By the way I love this color (not on my finger, but still), it is just fantastic using a stub!

Noodler's North African Violet; the section/nib of my recently-filled Waterman 100 Deluxe rebelled a bit.

Cheers from the Megalopolis of Southwest Virginia!

I'm a newbie and have yet to ink a pen without getting matching fingers.

Today it's a bit of Noodler's Heart of Darkness, from refilling a Charlie pen (I have to be a bit careful because it occasionally burps ink -- I had just filled the darned thing yesterday and already have to do it again from the occasional times when it was drooling during this morning's journal entry ) Also a bit of Noodler's Park Red, from filling the Safari and refilling the sample vial from the bottle as an emergency backup.

Ironically, I was doing the design of a beaded necklace a little while ago (taking a break before actually stringing it -- and the main colors are red and black (with a little bit of white and silver as accents).

Some Diamine Oxblood, because my Delta DolceVita Federico was being its usual jerk-y self, and some Pelikan 4001 brilliant black, because I put down the cap of that bottle a bit too forcefully - which is to say, I dropped it. And then, with impeccable aim, put my hand into the one drop of ink spilled while reaching for a tissue. I'm a genius.
