What Color Are Your Fingers Today?

A blotch from a sample of Montblanc Lavender from the nice guy that sold me his TWSBI Diamond Mini, along with a sample of Sailor Sei-boku.

Sei-boku is probably my favourite ink!

Fingers are stained with Pelikan 4001 Blue-Black today. I have tried this in a couple of times in the past wth less than stellar results. However, I managed to get my hands on a used MB-146 and figured it was time to give this ink another try. I ordered a large bottle from Japan (can't get the stuff in the USA any more) and filled the pen. The results have been pretty amazing with a wet German-made pen. I think it will be in my regular ink rotation for now on.

Sailor Yama-Dori. My first fill out of my first ever bottle! Right, can't believe that myself... have been hearing people raving about this ink for years, and it took that long for me to finally try it. All I can say is... WOW! Now I understand the hype.

My feelings exactly - I bought a bottle about eight months ago, and can't have enough of this ink. It's a liquid magic.

BunguBox "Ink of the Witch"-colored, thank you for asking.

Not exactly my fingers, but more the side of my leg and my foot. I had an open cartridge of Sei-boku, which I dropped, which then cartwheeled as it bounced down my leg. You know that nice large opening that Sailor cartridges have? It works very well...

Noodler's Navajo Turquoise on the right hand & a bit of Diamine Purple Pazazz on the left hand. It is a challenge to get ink out of a sample container.

I passed on reporting the latest stains which were Sailor yamaguri from swapping nibs on an inked Lamy and then again after cleaning. A bit of Iroshizuko yuu yake also from inking my TWSBI.

But this one is noteworthy: Pelikan Pink on right thumb and index from inspecting my daughters Pelikano :D

Your daughter surely know her Pelikans!

Diamine Twilight here - just a bit, from the nib of my Slimfold.

Everything is washed off now, but this morning it was Waterman Mysterious Blue. On my hand, the side of my knee, and a couple of drops on my top sheet....

I was lying in bed doing morning pages, and what turned out to be a small yellowish green grasshopper landed on my leg, so I swatted with the available (and dominant) hand -- which of course was holding the pen....

Amodex saved the sheets; a shower took care of my hand and leg. A tissue later got the grasshopper....

So, after the encounter was it a small, yellowish, green, Mysterious blue grasshopper?

KWZ Azure #4. As usual, filling from a sample vial can go messy...

BTW, Love! The! Color!

Is it the one that stains? No matter, I'm ordering a bottle of it...

Bung Box Norwegian Wood Emerald. Sailor sure makes some nice inks, but I am not blown away by this one. Then again, the fill before this one was Bung Box Hatsukoi Sapphire, and any ink that follows BBS has some rather big shoes to fill.

Oh my, two spills in two days.

Diamine Matador this time.

My Cross ATX does not have a converter and I've been abusing the cartridge by squeezing it to fill with ink and today it decided to pay me back by bursting...

Lamy blue from an ink cartridge that my husband tried to fit into a Pilot Metropolitan. The cartridge didn't fit (quelle surprise) and ink leaked into the barrel of the pen and burped all over my hands and pages of my notebook. His response was "... Oops, as David Mitchell says, NEVER lend anyone your pen"

It seems that the husband may be in need of minor adjustment...
