It's St Patrick's Day so ... my fingers are Diamine meadow. (I told people at work that I had cut my finger and the green stuff was my blood.)

I've got small traces of Henry Hudson Blue and Pelikan Edelstein Garnet from when I was working with them today, but I think what really horrifies me is that my nails are still stained with Baystate Blue-- it's been a week since I had sampled that ink!

Inks (Always willing to trade samples, PM me!): Noodler's Rome Burning, Noodler's Henry Hudson Blue, , J. Herbin Poussiere de Lune, P.W. Akkerman Laan Van Nieuw Oost-Indigo, Chesterfield Antique Slate, Chesterfield Antique Shamrock, Chesterfield Antique Jade, Chesterfield Antique Orchid, Chesterfield Capri, De Atramentis Apricot, De Atramentis Alexander Hamilton, J. A little Blackstone Barrier Reef Blue. Tried to open the flow in my red Kaweco Sport ICE a little. Opened it a lot.

Mont Blanc Leonardo Red Chalk.

I had silently lusted  after this ink for ages when someone out of the blue popped a vial in the post to me last December. I promised I'd fill up my Vac 700 with it next fill and here it is.

Not so easy to fill one of these with a syringe    but it's so pretty I'm not going to wash for a week.

I'm impressed; I've never managed to fill mine with a syringe.

Hmm, can't say I'd do it again, or recommend it . . . but it's completely full now.

I'd say it's the only safe and reliable way to fill it 100%; much easier and cleaner than trying to push the air out with the piston, as Brian Goulet and Stephen Brown have demonstrated. Below my Vac700 with Emeraude de Chivor.

I have three new pens coming in today (580AL Green, Vac Mini, Botanica Green Daylily), so I will try my best to rectify my clean finger problem. I'm looking forward to skin painting with GvFC Moss Green, Akkerman Chinatown Red, and Lamy Turquoise.

ETA: I've got De Atramentis Indigo Blue on the side of my right middle finger (right around where I'm developing a callus :( from pen use). I like the ink a lot. But I was waving the pen (Dollar 717i) around a bit the other night and got ink in the cap, *and* on my hand. And Even though I washed my hair yesterday afternoon, the shampoo did NOT get all of Indigo Blue off....

And Ruth, writing calluses is nothing to be sad about. It only shows that you are a honourable and hard working penophile.

Well, I'm a bit concerned because a while back I had some sort of splinter in the same spot. I need to start soaking my hand and taking an emery board to the place again....

On the plus side, the DA Indigo is finally off (only took 2 days...).
