I noticed when I was servicing large format ink jet printers (the two metre wide kind) that there was an inverse relationship between the permanence of the ink on media and how easy it was to get off my fingers. I.e. the more permanent the ink, the easier it was to wash off, and vice versa.

Has anybody noticed a similar relationship between FP inks and fingers?

Lamy Blue. I did the initial rinse of the new Charged Green Al-star I got at the Baltimore show and a bit of blue came out. Now I'm curious if all of the special editions are tested.

Sailor Yama-Dori. Somehow managed to stain the cap, with all the consequences ;)

Diamine Woodland Green, newly acquired from Dromgoole's. I tried out another ink - Nostalgic Impressions Green (also acquired today), but it is so faint that I wouldn't know if I got any on my fingers if I did!

Third ink (Noodler's Berning Red) will be tried out in a few moments...

Current Daily Carry: Pilot Custom 743 with 14k Posting nib (Sailor Kiwa-Guro), Sailor 1911L Realo Champagne with 21k Extra Fine nib (Sailor Tokiwa-Matsu). Nothing right now. It's likely that will change soon though.

Ah, Nathan and the very full new Noodler's bottles... My hands and fingers are very red, thanks to Berning Red!

I just did sample writing of all of the FP inks so I have a variety; mostly blues but I see some grey or black and a spot of green. Apparently I did OK with the reds and purples.

I'm sure there's some Blue Ghost, but I can't see it so it can stay there for a while.

My Pilot Custom Heritage 91 with a soft fine nib came in the mail today! I inked it up with Iroshizuku Ama-iro, and in the process got some smudges on my fingers. I am really enjoying how much more shading I am now getting with this ink.

I will be in Houston this weekend, and the plan is to visit Dromgoole's (my first visit) for a bottle of Noodler's Texas Bluebonnet. Bluebonnets started blooming here in Texas, so it's only fitting. I know what color my fingers will be this weekend!

I was just in Houston last weekend – right before that big storm. Fantastic weather. I was within walking distance to Dromgoole's at the St. Regis, but my client's all wanted to walk in the other direction. Blah.

I really dig the store, and have had some fun with Bluebonnet. I think you'll like it.

Java Black on my fingers today - finishing up a review. Got a great deal of Nostalgic Impressions Green on my fingers while working on a review of it, but the ink is so faint that I can barely notice its presence now...

Texas Blue Bonnet is a very nice ink. There's some debate in my household as to whether it is the correct color (my wife is a botanist, so she is rather exacting in her color names), but it is still a good ink.
