Bungbox Sweet Potato Purple.

It's harder to get rid of than I expected.

Yeah, my sweet potatoes always seem to sit at the very back of the fridge until they get soft and wriggly. I try to throw them out before the time when they attempt to start a revolution with the parsnips.

Been a while since my fingers have gotten inky, and a while since I inked up Dot, my Metropolitan. Finally tried the sample of Aurora black I got a while back. Now I finally see what people are talking about when they compare blacks!

My pens: Penny the Penmanship, Dot the Metropolitan, Pallas the Parallel, Neoma the High Ace Neo, Petra the Petit1, Calliope the Kakuno (Also, a Sheaffer No-Nonsense)

My bottles of ink: Sailor Epinard & Ultramarine; Mysterious Blue (Wishlist: Oku Yama)

A dash of Noodler's Violet is still fading on my hands from yesterday, and a fresh shot of Baystate Blue made it onto my thumb...and it appears to have stained my green nail polish. Hmm.

Happy Fountain Pen Day!

Noodlers Red Black. Made a bit of a hash of filling a pen today (it shouldn't be that hard, right?) and I'm pretty sure I ended up with more ink on my fingers and around the sink than made it into the pen.

It tends to be a sort of dried blood color to begin with so now I look as though I've spent the day disemboweling small animals with my bare hands.

BungBox Hatsukoi Sapphre from playing around with a frankenpen...and Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-Peki as well due to the same thing.

Those who hurt me were not only someone else,

but also those who pretended not to notice. It was my friend.

A mixture of blue and brown, the blue from Noodler's Liberty's Elysium; the brown from a hickory-nut ink I made. Storing it in an old Sheaffer bottle required cutting a new inner lid, which functions as a gasket.

For the last couple days, I had a little sliver of Binder Burgundy on my palm from where I touched the bottle rim as I was dipping my pen getting ready to fill. It started pretty dark, and has gotten a little lighter with each hand-washing.

Noodler's Eel Black, and some burma road brown that was there yesterday.

I just loaded a new pen with MB JFK ink. I seem to have acquired a lot of blue or blueish inks, especially as I was trying the various Parker Penman Sapphire recipes!

Diamine Carnival, after learning that different inks behave differently in dip pens too. Removing the full reservoir was apparently necessary for that hesitant brand of ink.

With a little leftover of Apache Sunset that we had to transfer in extremis because the cap broke down :(

Last night I tried to un-gum my Twsbi that had sat with Emeraud de Chivor for two weeks. The brass shim did the trick but not before turning my thumb a lovely shade of teal.

Switched nibs between my Pelikan M101N and my Pelikan 140. Got some Pelikan 4001 Königsblau on my fingers.
