Some mystery blue-black ink from cleaning out a new-to-me Parker 51 Special.

Also some Akkerman Blauw from some journaling I was doing earlier.

I FINALLY got the Sheaffer Blue out from under my thumb nails.

Adjusting nibs is messy work.

great question: like Confuscious says " man who use fountain pen get inky finger" yes we all have this day in and day out; my question is how do FP users clean up their fingers. ????

J. Herbin 1670 Emerald De Chivor: the ink arrived and I was so excited when I filled the pen I wiped the section with my fingers! I don't care, the ink is beautiful.

Noodler's Gruene Cactus Eel. It's a sample vial and the pen didn't want to fill. I guess I need to get some syringes.

With soap. I have mechanics soap with pumice for difficult stains.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Pilot Iroshizuku Take-Sumi...playing around with my new Parker Vacumatic after spending about 2 hours cleaning it out.

Those who hurt me were not only someone else,

but also those who pretended not to notice. It was my friend.

Scary-looking Diamine Imperial Purple bruises on my knuckles, looks like I've been in a fight! I think it's a good look for me. Thank you burping Airmail eyedropper!

Diamine Imperial Majestic Blue. Trying to get some sheen on the go today.

*edit: I had the name wrong. There are a lot of impressively titled blues from Diamine.

Today it was Iroshihzuku Yama-budo. A LOT of Yama-budo. I was flushing out a Parker 45 that wasn't behaving well and there was Yama-budo everywhere -- including what looked as if it were possibly leaking out of the squeeze converter where the metal sleeves meets the black part that attaches to the feed. :(

This pen is definitely now going to DCSS to have someone more experienced take a look see at it -- I ended pulling a piece out of the section that may be part of the feed assembly....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

J. Herbin olive green: apparently I didn't push the convertor back in when I filled it at the weekend, so the ink went everywhere when I unscrewed my pen at work today.
