Absolutely pure human pink.

And that is a good thing, because it means the repair on my Visconti that was leaching ink onto the section via some hairline cracks near the feed has been successful.Pleased with the UK after sales service!

However, earlier there were hints of PR Electric Blue, thanks to easy transfer from the paper I'd made notes on.

I'm sporting some Herbin Poussiere de Lune, Diamend Red Dragon, and some Noodler's Black Swan.

Pristine Caucasian tan, thank you very much.

I just got some Black Swan in Australian Roses in the mail today, tried it out and...it's a beautiful color, no doubt, but so far it just looks like a (very lovely) black cherry color to me. I guess I was expecting a little more shading or drama, and it takes a fair while to dry. I'm glad I have the bottle, and I'll use the ink, but I think my expectations were too high.

On the other hand...I also got a couple of samples in the mail, also Noodler's, of Cayenne and Dragon's Napalm. I L-O-V-E LOVE Dragon's Napalm. It is so shockingly bright, so sunshiney and fruit-punchy, like the color was lifted off an overpriced cocktail at a tropical resort and then irradiated or something, to make it even brighter. I know this is not a color for everyone, and would be out of place on any serious occasion, but I just love looking at it. It's so cheerful.

I was kind of sad that I tried out the Dragon's Napalm first because next to it, the Cayenne looked really dull and boring and prim. Which is totally crazy, Cayenne is a pretty wild color.

I need to experiment more with both of those sample colors...I just tried them out, and they feathered quite a bit on the scrap paper I wrote on, and I didn't see much shading, which I believe is unusual.

My fingers are ink free, but my arm has Noodler's HOD on it. I thought I was doing so good refilling a pen without getting messy.

Blue and Purple from Rohrer & Klinger "Salix" and "Scabiosa" and Diamine Registar's ink. Decided I'd play with iron gall inks a bit (bulletproofs being so hard to get in UK) and I'm liking them............ lots!

Black and red. Black from the J. Herbin Perle Noire, red from the Irish in me.

All the red-handed Irish people know exactly what I'm talking about.

Noodler's Polar Green. It just arrived today and I decided to put it in my Al-Star with Medium nib, which I've decided was a mistake, I should have put it in my drier writing Vista with 1.1mm italic nib. In the wetter writing pen this ink pours forth onto the page but oh my is it smooth!
