What Color Are Your Fingers Today?

GouletPens

Recommended Posts

Uhm, fingers... along edge of eye (2"), a great big patch on my neck (2-3" by 1") and under my bottom lip are all Navajo Turquoise!!! Apparently I had a bunch on my fingers and rubbed those three spots!!! Saw it in the mirror a couple of hours later when I went to get ready for bed.

Palm of my hand had a faint shadow of same. OMG!!!! Luckily, facial products apparently make a good barrier and said ink came off of my face and neck with some scrubbing!!

So, what's your point?

Pelikan Edelstein Ruby and Waterman Florida Blue after cleaning and refilling some pens. That blue is impossible to wash from my hands.

I've got 4 fingers coloureq with a kind of magenta ink . Today, I've received a Pelikan M800 from a friend who didn't want to send his pen for repair (bent nib) and bought a brand new M1000 instead...

I gave the nib his original design and it works perfectly !!!!! But my fingers are now magenta . Let's hope my fingers will be cleaned for tomorrow ......

I've got a variety of things on my hands today: filled or refilled a few pens so at various points this morning, so it was:

Diamine Tyrian Purple

vintage Quink Black Microfilm Ink

Noodler's Henry Hudson Blue

Noodler's Qin Shi Huang

Caran d'Ache Grand Canyon

J Herbin 1670 Stormy Grey

Also, apparently the weather is changing -- so this morning's journal entry was hampered by my ebonite Konrad burping ink into the cap (specifically, Noodler's 54th Massachusetts).

Baystate Blue. Don't ask. At least my fingers (and a couple paper napkins) are the only things that it got on.

Until you ink a pen, it is merely a pretty stick. --UK Mike

Just a bit of Chesterfield Antique Yankee.

That seems like an oxymoron.... compared to the rest of the world, yankees are serious newcomers.

Waterman Florida Blue. I will give you the short version. It involved a Pelikan Pura and a Waterman cartridge and it turned ugly. It is a pretty blue colour but I prefer it to be in my pen or on paper. Not on my fingers...

Why do not Waterman cartridges fit Pelikan pens? They are standard.
