What Color Are Your Fingers Today?

GouletPens

A bit of Noodler's Lightning Blue HL ink, and a little bit of diluted Noodler's Georgia Peach HL. Not sure how I ended up with a bit of Lightning Blue on my nose last night, but that at least washed off....

I've been playing around mixing some inks this afternoon (a wonderful afternoon of mixing inks and cleaning pens). So my fingers (and palms and wrists and one ear) are brown, grey, blue and purple.

Results will be posted once I get access to a scanner.

Refilling my Cross Apogee, I ´ve had two fingers touching the Ajisai ink bottle. Easy to clean ... One hour later, my 8 years old girl asked me if I had "played" with my pens ... How did she know ? I also had some ink on the nose !!!!!! How did the ink go there, that is the question .".

I have KWZI IG Turquoise *under* my thumbnail, from flushing a pen yesterday. Most of it is off the tip of my thumb, but not the stuff under my nail.

No clue how it happened, either. It's not like I was refilling the pen.... :glare: And it's a c/c pen at that.

My fingers are Diamine Deep Dark Blue (Cult Pens) after cleaning my leaky Italix. Now swapped it onto a cart in the hope that the converter was at fault....

Chesterfield Archival Vault - trying to be very careful with this ink. It an European Iron Gall formula, so it will be necessary for me to clean my X750 regularly. Writes blue, however, oxidizes to more like a deep midnight blue/black. I just recently received this ink, & decided to work with it a bit today. However, got a few stains on my fingers--particularly my right thumb. Reminds me of my Montblanc Blue/Black.

Still a little bit of vintage Sheaffer Skrip Peacock Blue from yesterday evening. I finally got around to transferring about 2/3 of the pint bottle I found in an antiques mall last summer into more manageable sized bottles (4 oz Boston rounds). Boy -- that ink is tenacious!

Did not get a chance to fill any pens with it though -- too much else happening Christmas night, plus I have too many pens in rotation again....
