What Color Are Your Fingers Today?

GouletPens

Recommended Posts

Fingers are clean today. Have been using one pen filled with Waterman Florida blue and another with parker Quink black. Perhaps this is because I have not had occasion to fill either pen today.

Diamine Ancient Copper ... stupid leaking JinHao x750 :/

Of course a bunch got in my fingernail bed, so it looks like I tore it up real good and I got a few questions about it. Heh.

I was transferring some of the 1670 Stormy Grey to a sample vial and it left a trail of fairy dust on my fingertips :)

Squeteague, Squeteage everywhere! My pen decided to burp while I was adjusting the nib. It was like a little volcano! (An exaggeration. Thankfully, only my hands got ink on them, and not the carpet or furniture.)

I inked up three pens but only the Stormy Grey decided to get on my fingers.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Today was a mess. At one point I ended up with a bunch of Noodler's Whaleman's Sepia on *both* hands (right thumb and index finger print, and a big blob in between the index and middle fingers of my *left* hand...). Then later the pen with Kung Te Cheng in it decided to get cloggy; love the color and permanence, but 54th Massachusetts and El Lawrence are better behaved....

I am itching for a chance to get fairy dust on my fingers!

Instead, I have Noodler's Atlantic Salmon decorating four fingers.

You should definitely give fairy dust a try! It took me back to when I was 4 years old making glitter paintings, which made the ink priceless for me :)

Teaser!!!

I was so happy that it actually lived up to the hype!

Ha! I saw this, checked my fingers, and yep! there's a green blue stain. A custom mix of De Atrementis Green Tea and Platinum Pigmented blue ink. I created it in honor of Halloween as a zombified blue/green. Boo!

Red spots here and there.

Last night I unwrapped my bottle of J. Herbin Rouge Hematite. Now that is a bright eye searing red. Having fun with this one in a 1.1mm stub.

This morning I inked up a pen for my 9yr old with Rohrer & Klingner Morinda. This is after we played around with this & Akkerman Garuda Rood with a glass dip pen while she decided which red she wanted to use.

An interesting mix of Lamy Blue and Diamine Mediterranean Blue as a result of swapping out nibs between Lamy pens.

Edited to add: Yay! First post!

Blue on one hand (Liberty's Elysium); blue-black on the other (Bad Belted Kingfisher) with a spray of Waterman's Florida Blue on both AND my teeshirt. Don't ask.

Diamine Teal from swapping nibs last night. Thought I washed it all away, but in the bright office lights, it still shades.
