What Color Are Your Fingers Today?

Visconti Green - bought it after a former employee sent me a "Thank-you" card written in this ink. Today was my first fill after I managed to buy it in the old glass bottle. Happy to have it on my finger!

My hands are clean, for once! My pens are all well-inked, I don't have to tinker with any Noodler's pens or dip pens (for the moment), as I'm going out of town for a couple days shortly. Wow.. I don't think I've gone more than two days without ink on my fingers. It's kind of astounding. I did manage to get a couple spots of a green blend on the carpet by my desk, though. Not sure when or how. Oops!

Of course, I'll be taking a pen with me out of town. So some ink might manage to creep onto my fingers. But which one... Hmm..

Amazingly, nothing at the moment, other than skin-colored. But on Saturday I went antiquing, and one of the places I stopped had some random Sheaffer with a leaky cartridge of black or blue-black (presumably Skrip). No I didn't buy the pen. Or the very sixties-yellow No Nonsense the store had either. I felt kinda bad not buying anything, because the woman in the store offered my a cup of hot coffee -- but I just don't know enough about Sheaffers, other than the Snorkels I have.

I got a Diamine Autumn Oak on my thumbnail trying to slightly modify a nib.

Private Reserve Sherwood Green.

I also managed to get some spots on the dining room table placement from the bubble that popped!!! Remind me never to refill on top of a placemat. I had a napkin underneath the bottle. Of course the ink managed to clear the napkin and hit the placemat.

Clean at the moment - unusual I'd say. Yesterday I managed to fill a Platinum cartridge with Eel Black, place it in my 3776, convert my Monteverde Artista to an eyedropper and fill it with Lie de Thé, without getting my fingers stained. Not sure how I accomplished this, but I am quite proud :P

Surprisingly, this seems to be contagious. My fingers haven't been this clean in awhile. Perhaps it is because I'm writing more with different pens and I haven't had to refill, although the moment I do, most likely they'll be back to Kon-Peki fingers ;)

Just filled a lovely 1946 burgundy Waterman's 512 with Writing Lab 'Old Burgundy' ink (by Sailor). The ink is gorgeous but boy, I've got a bl00dy-looking thumb! Lol :-)

Iro Asa Gao because my sailor converter let all the ink out in the back end and out from the pen and coloured my pen roll and me blue.

A mix of Waterman Mysterious Blue and Montblanc Mystery Black got behind this one.

Permanent ??????? My god ........ Well, we'll see next month if it.s still there ....

On previous occasions it hasn't proven to be very permanent at all. Perhaps I have strange fingers. Or good shampoo.

But I do have a piece of paper outside on my balcony with a bit of text on it. It's been there for approximately seven weeks now, and I think it is still legible. Perhaps I'll take a picture tomorrow. (This was inspired by Lloyd J. Reynolds' Weathergrams)

De Atramentis Mark Twain aka Kamesin Red. I didn't quite get all the ink off the nib section of my pen after I filled it.
