What Color Are Your Fingers Today?

GouletPens

This evening, a mix of Waterman's Florida Blue and Noodler's Liberty's Elysium. My tee shirt has a few spots of Noodler's Bad Belted Kingfisher. I also discovered that International Short cartridges hold exactly 1 ml.

But, tell me why most of you clean those couloured fingers ??????? Keeping it blue, brown, black or any other is something that helps other fountain pens lovers to know that you're victim of the same addiction .....

Seeing a client having two beautiful greenish fingers, I asked him " fountain pen user ?" The answer being " you too?" ... And we began a discussion ending in the pub next door ..... KEEP YOUR FINGERS COLOURED !!!!! ;-@

Several reasons: (1) I'm cooking and wash my hands constantly between steps/dishes; (2) I've been working or sharpening something down the shop and am covered in cutting oil or otherwise filthy or bleeding; (3) I'm doing the laundry; SWMBO will not thank me for getting ink on her work clothes. Other than those, I don't particularly care if my hands/fingers are inky.

I've been fiddling around with some black ink samples and somehow it freckled my hands black.

Also I'm sporting a lovely blot of PR Tanzanite on my thumb. :)

The praise of the praiseworthy is above all rewards.

Diamine Evergreen. It’s durable on my skin. There’s some Apache Sunset too now that I look over my hands.

Love this. :)

I filled a couple of pens last week, including a Lamy Al-Star. Picked it up this morning and ran the nib across my thumb because I forgot what was in it. Turns out I filled it with Noodler's Tiananmen Square. So now it looks like I cut myself. Oops.

Kon Peki ... was trying to open a very-very stuck bottle cap.

It's starting to fade though.

Weirdly my fingers are skin-colored today. Yesterday one was artfully decorated with a splotch of Pilot Blue, just at the tip.

Got some Sky High on my fingers today after I inked up my M800 and wiped the excess ink off the nib with a towel. The ink seeped through the towel!

Montblanc Black -- I keep smudging the fingers of my left hand during writing practice as I move the paper. Perhaps because in some drills I write larger, or turn the page 90 degrees.

Sailor Jentle Black on the left hand, Parker Quink Black on the right.

(Can't tell which of the two is on my shirt :( )

Waldemort has a product called OUT! in the pet aisle for cleaning up pee spots, it's enzymatic and works on blood and coffee, you might give that a try.

ESS's Registrar's Ink (a blue-black iron gall) and an unknown blue my wife had in a pen I cleaned for her.

Very Platinum Black. Usually my hands stay fairly ink free but -- oops! -- not today. Nothing fancy, but thoroughly inky.

I have a blob of Empyrean on my right hand (that stuff does not want to come off) and Syo-ro on both hands from messing with a POS Levenger TrueWriter (but that's another story).
