What Color Are Your Fingers Today?

GouletPens

Baystate Blue and Baystate Concord. Two of my favorites, I love the smell, and all the others wash out.

My kids are used to my fingers having permanent purple and red stains :).

Sailor Jentle Grenade when filling a cartridge for my J. Herbin rollerball because my MB and Newton Townsend both went to Shawn Newton yesterday and I'm nearly penless.

Noodlers Red Black and Diamine Ancient Copper. They tend to look similar on my hand.

Sheaffer Skrip Blue. There was a little accident last night involving my Ahab and a bottle of ink. Unfortunately, the ink didn't make it.

:(

Time to toddle over to Goulet Pens and put in an order for a replacement.

Diamine Matador. Not sure exactly how, though -- it's in a Noodler's FFC, and I'm not seeing any cracks, nor am I finding much burped into the cap with the change of air pressure.

Yesterday it was some of Pharmacist's Turkish Night; the Vector with the modified stub nib I got on Ebay seems to have some sort of leak; it has a weird slide converter that doesn't look standard issue, and I don't think it fits quite right into the nib unit. Not sure whether silicone grease will fix it (I'm not used to seeing ink on the outside of the threads on a nib unit, but I think that some of the ink had dripped into barrel).

My fingers are dark yellow.

I got a little black on my hand.

Iroshizuku Asa-gao. The cap seal, as always, was stuck to the bottle instead of the cap, and no matter how careful I try to peel it off, I always get some ink of my fingers.

Diamine Midnight. Was inking a pen, and had the section way too far into the bottle!

Noodler's Squeteague and Heart of Darkness, a little J. Herbin Poussiere de Lune, a speck of Iroshizuku Yama-Budo, and many other inks which fortunately washed off. xD Today was ink-testing day.

A little Waterman Florida Blue after inking my Parker Arrow. So many people here say positive things about this ink so I decided to give it another chance.

It's so rarefull that I had to mention it ... !-)

But that was yesterday! Today, two fingers are tainted with Iroshizuku Murasaki Shikibu ....

I know that this rather expensive ink has been designed to put into fountain pens and not on fingers but .... I really don't know how to refill a pen without having at least one or another drop on a finger ... !-@

Oh, thank goodness...I'M NORMAL!!

I have a deep burgundy and a blue black from the cartridges I was fiddling with. Pens weren;t writing, so did some investigating and got ink on myself (but still not going throught the pen).

It looks quite like a bruise, lol. I'll be on cartridge cleaning duty when i get home from work. (Thought is was full, but only of DRIED ink! Hmmmph.)

So, what's your point?

(Mine is a flexible F.)
