What Color Are Your Fingers Today?

GouletPens

Recommended Posts

I've been doing quite well of late. Except 5 minutes ago I had to reload my Lamy Al-Star, and in getting the nib down into the ink, I touched the top of the bottle, which had fallen on its side in a drawer and so came to have ink on it.

So, color me (just a bit) Éclat de Saphir!

Edelstein saphir. Filling my Faber castell Ambition and cleaning the nib, two fingers went on it .... They are now saphir green ... Nice !!!!!

There's a cat who certainly is in charge. The inky fingers make it look like (s)he's sweating blue blood!

Little bit of Diamine Umber ~ pen had difficulty starting, but produced quite a nice flow under a bit of (initial) pressure. Might need some tinkering, or just much more writing :-)

Noodler's Shah's Rose and Navy. I must say an interesting and dramatic combination on my hands. :)

A mix of Edelstein saphir and Iroshizuku yama budo .... Cleaning my Yard O Led to fill it with another ink ..... As I should receive my new (second hand) pen tomorrow , I will clean it and fill it so I should have other colors on my fingers ..... I love receiving a new pen . Don't you ?

Here is a topic about that ...

Just received these two new bottles of noodlers in the mail, my first experience with the brand. Looking forward to a mix of dragons napalm and bad belted kingfisher on the fingers once the Lamy's are inked up :D

More Diamine Umber after more fiddling with a difficult pen. Fingers are getting worse, pen is getting better.

Last night they were an interesting mix of ESS Registrar's Blue-Black; Edelstein's Sapphire; Waterman's Florida Blue (or whatever it's called now) and Noodler's Bad Belted Kingfisher.

Nib removal/dis-assembly and cleaning my newly-arrived Pelikan 140 removed most of them (a mixture of household ammonia, dish detergent and di-hydrogen oxide does that).

This morning, my fingers, a bit of my left hand and my left arm are decorated with Noodler's Gruene Cactus Eel that my Airmail 44 decided to barf up unexpectedly. But I still love the color.

A mix of Diamine Salamander (comes out rather brown on my skin instead of olive/army green) and pink ink from a Papermate felt tip (missed the cap whilst capping, got my index finger instead :))

Diamine Poppy Red on the thumb and first two fingers of my left hand. I was experimenting with reloading the converter of my Hero 359 using an eyedropper, and I didn't get the tip of the eyedropper aligned quite right with the end of the converter. I'll know better next time. I promise!

Some Diamine Ultra Green and Oxblood. I was writing with my TWSBI 580 and was absent mindedly twisting the piston knob. :yikes:

Diamine Royal Blue, Diamine Wagner (Music Set) and Pelikan Edelstein Topaz. Why can't I manage to fill a pen without covering my fingers in ink?
