Nice, and customized too!

Yes and I really love it! He does wonderful work. My case is so smooth, even toned and the felt secure. I'm proud of it and when I reach a point where I outgrow this one, I'll order another from Geoff.

He told me while he was working on my case, that he is going to be offering a new case. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Thank you for telling us (me) about Geoff's cases and for the pictures. I can't believe how quick shipping was and price wise ... even with shipping from the UK, it was less than half the price of other cases (about the same size) I looked at!

Just another friendly bump for Geoff's cases. Received my third, (yes, number three!!) 7 drawer case. They fit perfectly in my space and match well. Have plenty of room for future pen purchases. (Don't know if that's a good thing? :bunny01: ) Will be selling my other pen cases now...

Back around mid July, I purchased a beautiful pen case from Geoff. At the time, I figured that this case would give me plenty of space. Yeah, well ... no. Since then I have more than doubled my pen inventory. LOL I've been a member since June 29th and now have over 60 pens and have out grown my beautiful pen case.

Today, my eyes settled on the "Big Box" that I've been using to store paint tubes and other artist supplies (knives and such), thinking that it would make a wonderful pen box. If I'm guesstimating correctly, I can rest my 60+ pens in the Big Box and still have a lot of room left, as a future home of pens to come this is a BIG wooden box with drawers). LOL The top compartment is deep enough to hold not only the ink i have now, which is only 21 bottles, leaving plenty of room for inks that I know will reside here in the not no distant future. Such is the way of one severely infected. LOL I had been warned my first day that this was, in all probability, going to happen. I shrugged it off. LOL!!! When the day comes, and it probably will, that I out grow the Big Box, I'll be looking at the beautiful pen home that talkinghead has and planning something along those lines. The Big Box looks rather small in the picture, but it isn't.

I've been asked if I'm going to put my beautiful pen case up for sale. No, because when I transfer my pens to the "Big Box", my first box has already been given the title of "The Pen Pound" and will be home to pens that no one wanted, that are unloved and in need. My current Pen Pound has also been out grown. LOL

So ... a word to our new members ... in all probability, you will be infected, if you're not already. There is no cure that I'm aware of, but then I'm not looking for one, nor do I desire one. Just relax and enjoy every moment of it. I love fountain pens and it matters not to me if they're considered high end or just inexpensive pens. I only care that they write and feel good in my hand, because to me, that's all that's important. If I love them, then all is well in pendom.

Oooh, how nice...and to think I just asked Santa for a pen case for Christmas...hmm. (Santa? Are you listening?) :puddle:

If your case was made and sent by Geoff ... yep, takes a while to unpack it. Geoff packs his cases VERY well.

This is another review of Geoff Morris' pen cases which have also been eloquently described by stevlight and talkinghead in http://www.fountainp...-case-cabinet/.

I'd been looking for a while for a simple, minimalist pen case to house some pens. I didn't want any fancy metal clasps or hinges, or a glass display top – just a decent case to store pens.

Geoff's standard case are either 5-drawer or 2-drawer models, and they come in either standard or deep sizes. I chose the 5- drawer, deep version and that's what's illustrated in the accompanying images. The measurements are 185 mm deep by 275 mm high and 250 mm wide.

You can also choose the color of the felt with which you would like Geoff to line the drawers; there are the standard black, brown, green, red etc as well as more vibrant colors like yellow, orange and pink etc. He can make each drawer a separate color or each drawer the same color. I chose the yellow, and am really happy with it. I think it makes the pens sparkle more than they would with a darker color.

The drawers hold 10 pens each and easily accommodate a 149, as shown. The drawers slide out completely, a nice feature, which allows one to take a drawer to another location. The cases are not made out of solid wood, but out of MDF, which is a stable substance that doesn't warp or split, an advantage in homes that have varying temperatures. A nice touch is that the same felt used to line the drawers is used on the bottom of the case, to protect furniture underneath the case.

Geoff offers superb service. He makes the cases when you place an order and in my case, the entire process was completed in about a week. He keeps the customer up to date about the progress and when the case is finished, Geoff will email pictures of the final product for your final approval, before asking you to pay for them. Once paid for, the cases are packed very well and then shipped, tracked and insured. Geoff's website: http://www.pencase.co.uk/.

That looks amazing with yellow felt; I didn't think I would like it, I must look into this

Back in the 60's, I worked in my father's boat store and one of the popular fiberglass ski boats he sold was one he called the "banana boat" -- a dark brown and bright yellow. It sounds horrible, but actually looked quite good in a metalflake boat. I think the yellow and dark wood combination is mighty attractive.

I thought I'd show a picture of a true minimalist pen storage device...

Doesn't that scratch your pens and over-extend the clips like there is no tomorrow?

I find Geoff's pen cabinet looks awesome and well-made. I was looking for one of those cabinets for a long time. Glad to find this thread.

Well, at least it's only 35 pounds. For us in Asia shipping's gonna cost a lot more :(

I hear you there. The shipping cost should cost more than double the product cost.
