2 Patricians (black and black/pearl)

2 58's (different black configurations, extremely useful for giving people with Pelikan M1000 a size complex)

3 Red Ripple 7 (Red, Gray, Purple)

1 First year 100 year pen

1 Emblem pen

1 Blue Ripple set

2 94's

a bunch of BCHR ring tops (not quite sure how these got here. I think people give them away on eBay auctions).

1 Harley Davidson (Phileas, IIRC)

Nice to know ther are others out ther that suffer from the same affliction. Thanks for all the terrific information you provide. Now, if I could just find a way to repair all those crystalized ends.....

A dealer near me had a box of 100 year pens that were NOS, but the ends disintegrated when he went to put them for sale, as bakelite will do. I know that he had new ends fabricated, but am not sure if any are still available.

One smooth- (and beautiful-) as-silk Carène, brand new. I am wanting a Phileas for "casual days".

Update: don't have the Phileas yet, but instead a purple Kultur which is downright pleasing and writes smoothly.

Well, currently I've got only two Watermans and I love them both.

- Brown/black marbled Exclusive with medium nib

- Black Phileas with med. nib.

They're both wonderful instrument with which to write and, at some point when finances allow, I'll look to acquire another...or two..or three....

I have over 75, mostly pre-1920. Some are in original boxes.

I'm new to this forum, maybe there are better ones out there; before I start posting too many pictures I'll check things out.... :ninja:

I also collect Esterbrooks, and Japanese "Taisho and Showa" era fountain pens... and for some reason old Mont Blancs keep accumulating... I must have two dozen of those now...

But old Waterman's are my passion.

My favorite is a "chocolate" 54, with an accountant's nib. I use Noodler's Kiowa Pecan through it, mostly.

Nice to meet all of you.

LeMans 100 Fine

LeMans 100 pencil

LeMans 100 ballpoint (stolen!)

LeMans 100 Fine Opera (stolen!)

Those are all black. I will know tomorrow whether I have a LeMans 100 Rhapsody Red heading my way.

If I count her pens;

LeMans 200 Fine Black

LeMans 200 Fine Rhapsody Green

A small green striped celluloid of unknown to us name other than Waterman.

And a LeMans 200 Fine in Rhapsody Red is on the way.

Yes, we really like the LeMans. After the LeMans, none of the newer models have had the look and feel that quite says take me home.

regards,

- Jan

Well, we can add another Phileas to my list.

I just purchased one from eBay, a green fine FPN.

Had purchased a lot of assorted Japanese pens

within the last two weeks and the one I had planned

on using as a secondary pen leaks like a sieve so

I just threw my hands up in the air and bought

another Phileas.

I really was planning on buying an Ici et la but

I didn't want to have to buy more cartridges.

Current daily users: Pilot VP with Diamine Teal, Waterman Phileas M Cursive Italic with Arabian Rose, and a black Reform M CI with Copper Burst

Jan, a LeMan100 red is a Coral Patrician. I just don't want you to wait for a non-real pen.

I need the ALL STERLING LeMan 100!!! Wish me money! :bunny01:

I have two; one modern and one vintage - a Taperite fine point and a Harmonie fine point. I like both of these pens, and would certainly buy other Waterman's if I were a collector, but I have enough pens to cover my needs so I only have these two.

I have one Black and Gold Charleston, a Red Marble Hemisphere, and a Pink Shimmer Hemisphere BP.

I would like a Carene, a Serenite (or more than one), an Exception, an Expert, and another Charleston (or two).

I was not sure if the Rhapsody was 200 only. Thanks for the clarification. Good luck with the Sterling. It is going to take a rather large piggy bank, eh?

I made the trek down to Artlite today to get some ink. Once again I doodled with a Carene. They just do not do it for me. The LeMans continues to rule.

I have three Watermans, more than any other brand I own. I am a newbie to pen collecting and my collection hasn't yet made it to two digits. To the best of my knowledge, all my Watermans are Laureats: a fountain pen in dark-red-and-black marble, a ballpoint in green marble and a rollerball in red-and-black marble. They are all good looking pens and they all write well. But for day-in/day-out smooth, effortless writing combined with classic good looks and that unmistakable Teutonic efficiency that says something like "I know what job I'm supposed to be doing and I can do it better than anyone else," I'll take my green-striped Pelikan 140.
