Three ..

First purchase - a "Matt Black Hemisphere" with a medium GP nib that has made me re-assess mediums, it's an excellent writer, ... and led to me getting ...

Second purchase - a "Satin Stainless Steel Hemisphere" with a medium GP nib - unfortunately the nib point had 'undeclared', but repairable, damage on arrival and I need to carry out some remedial work ... but the rest of the pen is excellent.

A Phileas - a sort of pale lime green / yello demo with a fine nib - not really 'my colour', but it had a fine nib that I wanted to try, and had not been inked - plus ... it only cost me £8.23 including postage - this had proved to be another excellent writer.

All three pens were from eBay auctions; two out of the three have proved to be really excellent writers and fantastic finds; one still needs work on the nib but the body & trim is in excellent condition. Total expenditure, including postage, just under £32 .... and, as Meatloaf sings it ... "two out of three 'aint bad" :-)

John

I have an unknown Waterman lever-filler from around 1915-1920 with a super needlepoint (0.10mm) superflex nib, just short of a wet noodle and a Waterman 52 with a nice semi-flex nib.

I have just added two more Watermans to my collection, but I haven't had a chance to ink them up yet. One is a 1st generation Gentleman (eBay, came from Serbia) and the other is also a Gentleman, but it is a custom ordered blue laquer fine point with the Royal crown engraved on the cap instead of the "W", because it was given by someone in the Jordanian royal family/government as a gift to a non-royal. It has a way funky converter, too, stamped "Waterman" on it. Another eBay find, this time from Amman, Jordan. I do love my Gents!

I would say sadly only one but I can't be sad if I have one since so many do not. I was given a 512 PSF with 14k overlay and cap as well as a Eversharp Doric for refurbishing a 452 with silver filigree overlay for a friend. I feel extremely fortunate as I would not have been able to purchase such lovely pens. I have only ever seen one other example of the Waterman I have. The other one was here on FPN shown in the picture below.

I tried making a correction to my post but was not able to. Mine is the 512 1/2 PSF. A thin model.

Edits are possible for 24 hours.

Personally, I would appreciate a longer period, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.....
