....my favorite vintage Waterman - "Purple Five"

The Purple Five is really nice - flexible nib or on the stiff side?

And I really like the stubbish nib on the pen that is fourth from the left in your photo - what is that one?

Nice collection!

That part which laws or kings can cause or cure.

Purple 5 have stiff (firm) fine designet for pressureless writing nibs, like nail, but line is smooth and thin, excellent. :notworthy1:

I collect French Watermans, post-US closing. I've got at least one example of every line made from 1990 onwards, except the recent Élégance (the other hobby, photography, took precedence). The Exception is my current favorite. Gotta love a square pen. :)

I've got one of these too, and I also have no idea what it's called. I'm not even sure what era it dates from! Pretty nice writer, nonetheless.

I have such a pen - boxed. The inscription of box is Waterman's Man. This is a predecessor and analogue to Waterman Man 100. This is the highest model Waterman in the 1970's. Made in France. Great pen.

Wow, I was wandering around, reading here and there and never expected all those lists, it is great. I was not prepared to put a list here so I will soon add some images to share my collection I have most probably around fifty.

ED, Safeties and LF are those I prefer as well as some overlay. I am glad I came in, with most people is hard to share passion for pens, they have to own at least one to understand.

Cheers, Ariel

I've had 3 old lever fill since I was old enough to ask what they were and know they were not a ball point. I found them again this summer and decided to use them. Then I bought a used Laureat to use as my every day pen. Then I found the Fountain Pen Network and became interested in fountain pens and now I have 10 Waterman pens even though a person really only needs one. I use each of mine on a rotation basis. One day I plan on adding to my collection.

20 Waterman pens here, in all colors and shapes, from cheap to expensive. Much love.

Plus waiting for some in the mail. Damn you, Mr Waterman !

Same as Mint, I'm on a student budget... However, I'm on the right path. Started this year with just my Waterman Perspective (F, Champagne colour), but in the least month I have added the folllowing:

Kultur (F, black)

A beautiful 'marble bronze' Laureat (F)

And just recently arrived: a marble brown Exclusive (F), my first golden nib.

After buying three pens in one month I'm gonna wait a little longer for my next one, but I'm thinking of buying another Laureat (F, Red Shadow), Perspective (F, Black GT) and I'm searching for a nice Phileas. And I want a Carene, but that takes some saving... :)

Snatched up a Hemisphere from the internet for just €7,50, so that one can be added to the list.

I'm currently at 1 in terms of ownership (Charleston) with another in possession (White Carene with matching pen) intended as a gift.

All bleeding stops...eventually

1. Waterman Man 100 in Sterling Silver - with medium nib - a fantastic pen!

2. Waterman Expert II (maroon or red) - medium nib

3. Phileas (green) - medium nib

4. Kultur (demonstrator) with fine nib

All write well.
