I've got a couple of Hemispheres and a couple of Laureats. I have a Phileas on the way. Those are the newer pens.

For older pens I have a trio of 52 1/2s. a 452, 0552 and a 552. Just need to get the sacs in place.

Also need to find out some more about this. Everything I've looked up says it's rare but this doesn't look like any of the ones I've seen pics of. is it missing hardware or is it just a different version. I've noticed the number on the bottom of mine isn't printed the same as the others I've seen.

Anyone can provide any info that would be great.

Thanks,

Ruben

A friend gave me a Laureat he no longer wanted.

About 15 years ago, I bought some expensive (for me) suits. One suit came with a coupon to get a Phileas fountain pen and ballpoint pen for S&H, then about $6.00. I received the dark blue set. Another suit came with a similar coupon but for a Phileas ballpoint and rollerball set. S&H was the same. The set looks purple to me but I think it is officially blue.

post pictures and we should be able to provide their correct colour.

I am far behind most of you: I have 1. Red Laureat,- which I used daily until it rolled off my desk, onto the carpeted floor, breaking its forward barrel section.

Parts are apparently unavailable, so I patiently await the arrival of my new (to me) Blue Laureat, which I just bought on e-Bay.

waterman exception nib unit and cap.jpgwaterman exception red 18K M sales sample, price 150 shipped Oct 2013.jpgJust received a Waterman Exception in the mail yesterday and inked it up today after giving it a soapy bath--nib unit and converter only. It's a beautiful shade of red, with gold appointments and a two-tone medium 18K nib. Writes wonderfully, thank goodness. By the way, it has the word "SAMPLE" printed on the cap, but hey, with my budget being what it is I'll happily ignore it and focus on enjoying how well the pen writes. .

As for other Watermans, I have a few:

  • Hemisphere Golden Shine with an 18K fine nib, which I installed in place of the steel nib it originally came with.  The nib's a little scratchy, but then I'm not used to writing with a fine nib, just mediums
  • Preface Romance Blue with gold time and 18K medium nib
  • Executive blue with gold trim and 18K medium nib
