Do you mean Blue and Olive Ripples, like those ?

If those are the ones, the nib have certainly have been changed, those pens didn't come with pink nibs, but with classics (but very flexible) number "4" nibs.

May I ask why you are not a fan of the Hemisphere? I only ask because I have recently been contemplating getting on given the good reviews elsewhere, so any particular reason you're not a fan? Are there other models you would recommend?

1 hemisphere and tbh I hate it, just not me at all I have both a m and f nib for it and neither suit me. Just need to find it a new home.

I have one Waterman Phileas pen. It is the second one I have owned. The first Phileas simply would not wright, so I swore off Waterman pens for a long time. The one I have now writes great--as long as I flush it out, which I have learned to do with all my pens.

cute side story- the dr. that got me started using Waterman pens is now using ball points--why, she got tired of dropping them nib down on the floor! now I am very careful.

I just ordered a vintage Waterman 52 1/2V pen. My first vintage pen. It is hard rubber with a ring top The nib is med flex---I wish I had gotten super flex. I use dip pens a lot so I think I could use the super flex. It seems as if these pens are like potato chips, you can't stop with just one!!!

I just bought my first Waterman pen, an Exception Ideal Black from my recent vacation in Hong Kong. See trip report at https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/247553-my-recent-trip-to-hong-kong/ if you are interested :) . Anyway, I must say that the pen writes very well out of the box. The nib is stiff but in a good way, and the pen heft just makes me want to continue writing. My first Waterman but definitely not my last.

I have following Waterman pens:

1 Exception N&D Gold trim (First thing I got with my very first salary. WOOT! ^ ^;)

1 Charleston Ivory White (College graduation gift from my dad. The sole cause of myself getting into Fountain pens, especially Watermans).

1 Carene Deluxe Prussian Blue

On the way: 1 Charleston Blue

All my pens are F. I rotate my pens at work and although I love broad nibs, I find myself having difficulty neatly writing mathematical equations, Korean, or Chinese characters with M fonts or broader. On the meanwhile, EF just makes the pen feel too lifeless (at least for me).

I Love them all.

I have a sterling silver L'Etalon with a fine nib and a first-generation Laureat with a medium nib. Both are in regular use and both write beautifully.

I currently own two Carenes, a glossy red one with an F nib and a copper brown one with an M nib. Love them!

I own one expert and one carene. The expert has never been to my liking but was my first fountain pen. The carene is beautiful.

I own a Hemisphere in a red marbled finish, with a very nice M nib. It was my second fountain pen, and the only one I still have from the 90's when I started collecting pens. The clip is stretched a bit, and there are a couple of nicks and chips, but I still love writing with it on occasion.

I have one - a Matt Black Hemisphere with a medium nib.

This was bought in "error" - I thought it had a fine nib! Except for Italic and specialist nibs I really don't like nibs above a fine.

However, although it only cost me £10 including P&P, it turned out to be an amazing writer :). I filled it with Waterman's Serenity Blue and wrote a test line .... excellent. This is one medium nib I will definitely be using for a long time.

Today I was gifted this Waterman by a friend and colleague. Is it a Laureat? The only other Waterman pens I have are Phileas, so I'm no expert. It's in nice condition except for a long scratch down the length of the barrel. I don't have a converter for it, but I can always syringe-fill the empty cartridge that came with it.

Gifted pens are always special to me, as they are a reminder of the giver.

Update - Thanks to a run of ridiculous low bids on eBay I now have 5 Watermans! It only seems 5 minutes since I was impressed by a medium nibbed Hemisphere .....

The quintet consists 3 Hemisphere with medium nibs - a matt black, a shiny black, and a stainless steel - - and 2 Kultures (? I think - one was listed as a Phileas and the other as a 'no-name' but, on looking around it seems they are both Kultures) - a blue demo and a lime yellow demo - both with fine nibs.

I have set up one of the Kultures as an eye dropper for testing; an enormous quantity of ink is held and, so far, so good.

Another Waterman on the Wall... :)
This is my new Waterman fountain pen that the postman brought me. It is the LAUREAT BLUE MARBLED model. I don't know its year, but it is in very good condition, no scratchs, and the nib is in excellent condition.

I won this pen in a ebay auction, just paid U$S 40.02 :yikes:
This is a good deal??? What do you mean? I mean YES, is cheap for this waterman!!!
Minutes later, after unwrapping, I have placed a waterman ink cartridge, and started writing on seconds!!!
I attach some images that will explain much more my new acquisition...
