I bought my first Waterman today a Blue Phileas...

That was my first Waterman 5 years ago. Writes like a dream! Enjoy!

Just one - a 1925 Waterman 52 in BCHR with a super flexible IDEAL #2 nib purchased from John Mottishaw. This pen looks and writes so wonderfully, I absolutely will have to find some way to bring it with me into the next world - hopefully, many years from now! :cloud9:

My new Expert II blue w med arrived a couple days ago from streetfair on e-bay. I used a Waterman's black cartridge then switched to Florida blue which doesn't seem to write as broad. When I use my Phileas next time, I am going to switch to blue ink on that one. Now I have 2 Waterman's!

I have just one C/F with black plastic body and section and gold filled cap. I really like it. It was not easy to feed it at first, but now I found a couple of boxes of the proper cartridges and everything is enjoyable about this pen. <img src="https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cloud9.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cloud9:" border="0" alt="cloud9.gif" />

Best regards.

I added two more Waterman´s to my collection in the last months. First, I got a black Taperite with aluminium cap. Great pen, lovely writer and I simply adore the art deco clip. Second and more recently, I got a gold filled Ideal with flex nib. It only had its sac replaced and now is working flawlessly. I cannot believe this pen is more than 80 years old and still performs admirably.

Best regards.

Tito

I only have one at the moment, a Charleston in ivory. I love it, but it has a skipping and start up problem, and I wish I'd chosen F instead of M.

I have at the moment:

-a twenty years old black Preface

-a titanium Sérénité

They are very different:

-the Preface is a perfect EDC

-the Sérénité is a very special pen with it's unique shape. I like it's ergonomy although it doesn't suit everybody needs.

As of last week, I own:

A chrome Graduate with fine nib

A metallic green Hemisphere with fine nib

Haven't inked up the Hemisphere yet but the Graduate writes really well, although a lot finer than I expected since the medium nibs I tried on other models run quite thick.

I only have an Audace fountain pen. I had a Hemisphere, but I lost it... that was a black day.

One day... one day I will own the Pelikan M400 in white tortoise.

I have two Waterman fountain pens:

1. My Bar Mitzva pen - Solid Sterling pinstripe late '60's c/f with 18k nib and gold clib.

2. 1919-ish Waterman 54 Sterling overlay with NY No. 4 nib (that nib is a nail, so I'm using a No. 4 flexy nib retipped to B/Stub by Greg Minuskin).

I would like ONE MORE:

1. Waterman blue/gold Patrician. If you or anyone you know has an extra one... please send it my way!

Still seeking the One Pen to Rule Them All...

I have a Harley Davidson Waterman fountain pen. The cap looks like a cylinder, the pocket clip the pushrods. It came in a case shaped like a motircycle gas tank and included a substantially bound notebook called the Hog Log.

It was a gift, my first and only decent fountain pen, and i love the way it writes.

I do ride motorbikes, I don't ride a Harley Davidson.

If anyone sees a Honda &/or Aprilia fountain pen......

It's great to find a forum where one might learn proper care and feeding of a fountain pen.

I have several Watermans (and evem a Waterson which was an attempt in the 1920s for a manufacture to steal some of the Waterman reputation) and they all show a consistant long term approach to fine writing.

Today is an old favourite of mine, Watermans Champion 501, the wettest writer of any of my pens and it has a real understated gentlemanly quality.
