What Waterman pens do you own?

Just got my first Waterman today.

I bought a vintage lot of pens on eBay fully expecting them to be trash.

After some TLC - look pretty nice

Waterman Taperite Crusader - Original Model

Unfortunately, it needs a new Bladder. Still - when dipped - writes well.

My primary working pen is a Parker Sonnet, black and gold with both a fine and a medium nib (I alternate on pen cleaning day each month). Both nibs are gold and quite flexible, the way I them.

My main backup is a quite thin black and gold Waterman which does not seem to be in the catalog any longer, but is most similar in design to the current Harmonie, I suppose, but much simpler in appearance. Again shiny black with gold trim like my Sonnet. I find that at work this thinner model fits well in my shirt pocket along with the Sonnet. Together they don't take up much room and the combined storage of ink means I never have to use a ballpoint, thank heaven.

I occasionally use a Sensa, you know, the pen with the really, really soft rubber grip, once again black with gold trim. I use it seldom because the ink reservoir does not hold much ink.

Of more consistent use is my shiny black Expert II with gold nib, and yes the nib really is quite scratchy, which is why I don't use it as much as I would like. I love the weight, balance, and look of this pen. I keep meaning to send it out to have the nib adjusted.

Finally, I have one of the early Waterman Phileas units, marbled green in colour, with a wonderfully smooth medium gold nib.

I'm presently trying to get up the courage to go for a Pelikan M415, black again, gold trim again.

Not very colourful, huh? I make up for this by using a variety of Levenger coloured inks!

Best to all from Orthas

I'd love to know more about this Waterman pen. It is English hallmarked 9k gold on barrel and cap. Nib is wonderfully flexible. Cap says Waterman. Heavy pen. Looks like gold is a fairly thick sleeve over a hard-rubber body. Lever fill.

9k factory gold

For the information of other Waterman's enthusiasts, here's what I've learned from the membership, so far: This pen is a hard rubber lever-filler with 9K solid gold factory overlay These pens are 9k gold, designated for the British Market under FD Waterman. "They are very high quality, and command a

premium to the normal black waterman pens."

i am not sure what i have. It is sterling silver with gold accents, fountain pen. You folks have much knowledge and should know. It retailed for about $600 USD in around 1991 or 92 i guess. It was a gift. Beautiful - it is lined/ribbed or whatever, and classic looking, not modern per se, but not old fashion either. It has a smooth spot for engraving on the cap. It looks like EXCEPTION i suppose. Thank you. It writes fine and takes cartridge or plunger mechanism. I use medium blue ink in it and it likes special type of paper. Its weight is substantial making it good to write with, once you get used to it. Anyone guess the actual MODEL NAME of it? Thanks.

I also have a silver CHAUMET - not a fountain but twist ballpoint that i really love writing with - i can write for hours with it, effortlessly. Sorry if off topic but i also cannot place that one! I think i wanted a navy colored one, but when i returned that lacquered one was gone, so i had to pay more and get the silver one i didn't really want. Now tho it is like my old standby pen. I bought it cuz the jewelry store was going out of business, offering deep discounts.

Well i hope i am not too far off-topic. Info appreciated! I have a Monte Blanc Meisterstuck FP also.
