My favorite: a 54 with an XF X-flex. And a LeMan 200.

And now: a #52 BCHR with very nice chasing and super crisp imprints/ medium semi flex nib.

More coming: will describe when it arrives!

You have a very classy signature! Did I see it on the Declaration of Independence? Really nice.

Here's my list:

Several Phileases

An ivory Charleston

A Carene Islands Lagon

An Ideal 52 1/2 ringtop with a flexible nib (early 1900s era)

Guess which one is my favorite? --------- the little Ideal ringtop - what a pen! I'm waiting for a Waterman 52 from e-bay. I think I'm hooked on flex!

1 Marble Blue Phileas Fine

1 Ivory Charleston Medium

1 Black Phileas rollerball

I think that Waterman makes an outstanding pen. Nr

If it weren't for pens, I might go insane. They tell me that everything is going to be alright and I believe them.

I happen to live about 15 minutes from the former Waterman factory near Montreal, so there are a lot of Watermans in the flea markets, etc around here. The more unusual pens I have found are the 14P with the cap and blind cap in woodgrain and the barrel in bhr, and 32 1/2 ripple and 52 1/2 ripple (broken cap). My father in law, now 91, was married to the daughter of a Waterman Vice President who gave him a nice smooth black oversize 100 year pen, and he gave it to me. This week-end I picked up a 52 1/2 unchased black gold (plated) overlay in great condition and the 52 1/2 ripple.

I have two Waterman pens but they are essentially almost the same : 1 graduate and 1 allure (lovely, pale metalic blue!)

They go 'cheaper' line of Waterman, but I found them charming. They show great quality compared to their price, and write flawlessly.

It is a pity that our distributors (I live in Korea, BTW) don't deal with cheaper line of Waterman pens. I'd never known that they make some less expensive pens(Kultur, Apostrophe, Graduate/Allure) before I visited Paris. At a stationery store in Paris I looked around to find a nice, affordable pen and spotted a shiny, crom-trimmed little pen. Later I found out that it is Waterman Graduate. :) Allure was a gift from my friend.

BTW I have no idea how should I pronounce 'Allure'.. whether in French way or in English way.

may have replied on this thread before -- if so, think of this as an update

I still own very few Waterman pens.

2 vintage:

. 452 1/2 V Ringtop Filigree Silver Overlay, XXF nib

. 452 1/2 V Ringtop Solid Silver Overlay, flex nib

and 1 modern

. Carene, glossy black with Rhodium trim, F nib

In future, I would like to own a blue-green Ripple and some decent early overlays.

I don't care for modern Waterman, other than the fantastically designed Carene.

I received a gift of a stainless steel Hemisphere for Valentines. It's a Medium nib that took a bit of work to get smooth, but it's coming up nicely and is now a daily writer. I love the way the gold trim contrasts with the steel, very reminiscent of Parker Flighters.

I write, therefore I...write a little more.

Oh no - I think I have acquired more than a dozen of those Kulturs in the last couple months - two Ms and the rest Fs. Seven with ink color-matched to pen, a couple for ink mixes, and a few put away for gifting ;-) Only one that I've written with has a scratchy unpleasant nib - the rest are nice and juicy and smooth. They're value-priced from that French ebay dealer and a total bargain as far as I'm concerned - even if one in ten is scratchy. I need to read up on what to do about that - I nearly bought a loupe at the LA pen show last week.

2 marbled green - 1 w/ Sherwood Green ink, 1 set aside.

2 clear red - Waterman Red and PR Black Cherry

1 clear orange - PR Orange Crush

1 sparkly dark blue - PR Tanzanite - I love this color!

2 clear light blue - PR Supershow Blue F and M

6 transparent - 3 inked, 3 set aside - Visconti Turquoise, PR Plum, Visconti Sepia

Oh, and a black lacquer Gentleman M that was a (very nice) gift back in the 90s, and which is a skipping, blobbing monstrosity no matter which ink I feed it. Having had no other FP experience, it put me off fountain pens for easily a decade, but I've recovered now.
