Japanese 26-Hole paper punch

A friend of mine is using a pink Kokuyo binder and their Todai paper. The looseleaf paper comes pre-punched with 26 holes. Does anyone know if the Japanese make 26 hole paper punches, like how we have three-hole punches in the US?

I have seen a 20 hole punch, I think it was made by Maruman for their binders. I have not seen a 26 hole punch.

Edit:

Here is one.

Here is one.

Thank you NateB. You made my search for one easy.

This one is 23 holes for an A4, but I guess they also make this one in 26 holes?!

It's realy heavy, cast iron, hard metal punches and it does 10 pages orso at a time.

Works perfect and it takes only 5 minutes orso to punch 100 sheets.

I have no idea what it costed me, I guess it was expensive, but I bought it years

and years a go and it worked always like a dream.

Just to update this thread in case someone stumbles onto it like I just did lol, punches for 26 holes (ie B5 size paper) and for 30 holes (ie a$ size paper) are now easier to obtain for japanese-challenged westerners (like myself) by using jetpens, the generic source for all things stationery and asian for people who don't read enough Japanese/Korean to manage online shopping on websites in either language.

Unfortunately, they are still missing the A5 size (20 holes) that is my personal favorite - small enough to work as a planner, big enough for notetaking :) But as they do have A5 size binders, I hope this means they will be stocking that soon as well!

For information, I know I have seen portable versions of these things too - the kind that is designed to slip on your rings so you can punch anywhere you take the binder itself, albeit in fewer sheets at a time (like this but with the 20/26/30 holes). But I really couldn't tell you where it was I saw this!

I'm not affiliated with ANY of the brands/retailers/shops/ebay sellers/whatever I mention or recommend. If that ever changes, I will let you know :)

I also use it for that indeed. Works nicely with coil bindings easy, cheap strong binding.

Plume145:

The Carl Neo Gauge 26-hole and 30-hole punch available at JetPens will do A5 if you don't mind having extra partial holes at top and bottom that won't have rings going through them. Just put the A5 paper in centered and proceed as if punching for A4.

Thanks. Hmm I have been searching for A5 size 20-hole punchers for so long, looks like this is going to be the closest solution around.

Yes! Thank you thank you thank you! This makes things SO much easier - jetpens really does seem the only place to buy this kind of thing other than japanese language sites, so this was great! It made me decide to buy another one of these super-handy little binders to replace the one I had years ago that was lost to a house move :-)

Thanks for taking the trouble to post, I really appreciate it!
