Montblanc Pen Cases

I have seen some leather pen cases from montblanc around and have seen some pens in there and they look really good.. I was wondering what sorts of cases all you FPNers are using and whether or not you guys recommend these cases.. if not.. what sorts of cases are you using for your precious writing instruments

I think a similar thread was posted not too long ago.

However, I have a preference for the MontBlanc Siena pen cases (two pen case) for carrying a fountain pen and ballpoint in my briefcase or pocket. The're well made, well designed and of quality materials as well as being of sufficient size to store even my Visconti Homo Sapien.

On my desk, I keep a handmade Ling green faux-suede pen-wrap for 6 pens where I keep my currently inked pens. Lovely worksmanship, cheaper than the MB leather pen case and again, large enough to fit any of my current pens.

In storage, I use a Visconti 12 leather pen case which I managed to find at a local pen-store. It has a nice tray inside, zips closed and also has a zip pocket at the back and a dust cover. Customisable zippers using the Visconti 'My Pen' System. VIS-PC-986NN0014

I don't know whether it's been discontinued though - the best link I have found is - http://www.yfsstudio...e.php?item=4335

I use the same MB pencase as Tanalasta for my Starwalker FP 100 year edition and a Cartier Roadster Ballpoint.

The case is big enough for the "Le Grand" series.

My preferred supplier (no affiliation just a very happy customer):

I use the same MB pencase as Tanalasta, but the one for 3 pens.

After years of use, and even with some TLC, the bottom pen slots have cracked.

Still usable, but not very attractive.

My wife and I both use the Meisterstuck Sienna Pen Case for 2 Pens. She carries her Special Theme Edition Greta Garbo Ballpoint and her Special Edition Airbus A-380 Starwalker Fineliner. I carry a Meisterstuck Platinum LeGrand Fountain Pen and a matching Meisterstuck LeGrand Platinum Rollerball. The Sienna cases have provided years of service and protection to our pens. To personalize them, we had our initials embossed on the front flap; hers in script font and mine in block font. I highly recommended this case!

I was going to post a similar thread myself today. I have a double and a triple Meisterstuck pen pouches.

I was wondering though what cases do people have to transport pens like the Verne and the Mann? I have decided to start using mine but before I do, I want a case to transport them. I'm looking for a pouch which will hold a single pen.

My Collection: Montblanc Writers Edition: Hemingway, Christie, Wilde, Voltaire, Dumas, Dostoevsky, Poe, Proust, Schiller, Dickens, Fitzgerald (set), Verne, Kafka, Cervantes, Woolf, Faulkner, Shaw, Mann, Twain, Collodi, Swift, Balzac, Defoe, Tolstoy, Shakespeare, Saint-Exupery, Homer & Kipling. Montblanc Einstein (3,000) FP. Montblanc Heritage 1912 Resin FP. Montblanc Starwalker Resin: FP/BP/MP. Montblanc Traveller FP.

I've got a case with space for 3 pens and one with space for 1... use them all the time with my Meisterstück pens :)

They seem to work well and wear well - at least in my usage - can't say they got any worse :)

I have the Meisterstuck Pen Pouch (single zipper) and the 4810 Westside Pen Pouch (double zip). I like both, but tend to use the 4810 more often.

I have the 4810 Westside two pen case. They're nice, but no more functional than any other pen case. That said, I'd still buy it today.

I use the Diaries and Notes 2 pen case. I like it because there's a divider that goes the length of the case to separate the pens, and I don't have to clip the pen to the lip of the case.

I recommend placing a label with your name and number on the inside flap of your case.

That's a gorgeous case. I don't see any reason why MB puts it under the "Ladies' Collections", though. There's nothing particularly gendered about the design that I can see, except *maybe* the expanded choice of colors.

Maybe due to the thickness (MB site has it listed as 2.5 cm) they think it better suited to a purse than to an inner breast pocket on a suit? I just dunno.

I didn't know it was under Ladies' Collections. Yes, the black and tan would be fine for men. There's a plum and i think an orange, which are more feminine, but guys could use those too.

Levengers had a Pen Parapet with 4 divided slots that fits the 146 size and smaller pens nicely, but not the 149 comfortably.

Curtis Street has a very nice 3 pen case with divided slots that can fit a 149 and a couple 146 size pens.

I use a Montblanc Round Pen Pouch 3, does a great job. When I want to tote around a few more, I use a Visconti 12-pen pouch.
