FPN's PEN ART GALLERY

A friend photoshopped this for a laugh:

Forgot to mention, I drew the gate in take-sumi black with folded ruling pen.

Yeah, I was myself surprised a bit, seeing the drawing appearing more and more alive was so great!!! Count me addicted!

Keep it up!

Hehe, I see what he did there.

Yup. Me too. And ironically, I never saw that episode until just a few years ago, during a local TV station's Star Trek marathon one weekend.

Very nice!

What's a "folded ruling pen"?

It's something between a dip pen and palette knife, made in a curved shape that's capable of lines narrow to wide depending on how its held.

I'm impressed how well you convey shapes with just a few lines. That kind of simplification often eludes me.

I wish I knew how to do what you say I'm doing :) I have too little experience at drawing at this moment and no training whatsoever, just going with the flow. Also, I'm lazy :D

Wings don't work that way, I am aware. Drawn from a dream. It walked, at a good clip, on wings and hindfeet.
