FPN's PEN ART GALLERY

Oooh, that's really cool. I haven't paid any attention to the Shake n Shimmy line because I'm not a fan of shimmer inks, but that base color is really nice. The first time I saw an ink's components really separate with water was with Kanocho Midnight, and it blew my mind. Also, Nick Stewart's stuff with ink and bleach is fascinating too, though I've never messed around with bleach myself.

I've seen inks separate, I've done enough chromatography to know, BUT.. it did BLEW my mind the first time I saw it in one of her sketches. :D :D ...

Another example (I posted somewhere else on FPN, don't know where... but I will post here again)

That's Robert Oster Melon Tea....

Hard to believe the splash on the right is the same ink as the rest of the piece! My list of samples to check out is growing again...uh oh...

Cyber6, your resident artist is doing brilliant work!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Giving myself time limits. Scene from a different trip this time--hotel rooftop had a great view.

Gorgeous! Reminds me of Vernazza, here in Italy.

What a remarkable portrait of 北野武 (Takeshi Kitano or Beat Takeshi).

Your talent is superb. With Sheaffer Skrip Turquoise you've captured his image with style.

More remarkably, you've included a wonderful facsimile of his actual signature.

When I saw your post, I smiled to see such outstanding work.

Thank you so much for posting this here.

Right on! A beautiful city; I'm glad it's recognizable even after passing through my hands.

Trying some R&K SketchINK Thea (grey) for the sketch. I have a sample of Lotte (black) too, but based on my initial testing it's not as waterproof--it smears about as much as--or maybe a little more than--Kiwa-Guro when brushed over. Thea stays in place no matter how vigorously I rub. Happy with Thea's performance, not so much with the rest. My makeshift palette is struggling with warm tones.

Happy with how this turned out even though I got overzealous with the hatching. Not sure how I did it though... Still impressed by R&K Thea's resistance to everything; the ink simply doesn't budge. It's slightly too dry for this pen, but hopefully the Sailor fude can handle it better.

Ooo, I see another book on the horizon . . .

Hi everybody!

This is a quote from the cult Soviet comedy. I do not know how to translate literally, but I think it sound like a "our people do not go to a bakery by the taxi" - the phrase was to demonstrate a commitment to communist morality, according to which all Soviet people should be modest - they are can`t use taxi ride for a short distance. :) Probably you will not understand but those who lived (come to) in the USSR understand this very closely.

Car is a Gaz-21 "Volga" a luxury Soviet car with very high price wich made it unavailable for most Soviet buyers.
