Thanks Ruth. I like the spirit of the era 60s-70s and I very like fountain pens from 20s-30s, but I very like draw with dip nibs much more :). Here such mixture turns out :).

ps: fifth season with six episodes from the 1968 began on 4 February 2018. Highly recommended to saw If you like this spirit of british epoch.

Well, I thought it was interesting that in the episode about the rock band there was actually a weird detail (which helped break the case) that was accurate -- turned out that The Kinks really DID have trouble getting a US tour put together at one point because of issues with unions here in the US.

Bird was done with 99 and LC-1 nibs, background was brushed. The camera murdered it, it's not nearly so grey.

Great drawings as usual, the True Detective poster-like drawing is stunning. I love spotting interesting details such as the the spiral made of birds.

Our drawing group didn't meet today, lousy roads. But three of us appeared anyway and decided to go to the local coffee shop to sketch. Here are a couple of my sketches...hard to scan out of a bound sketchbook! The paper is gray toned.

Very nice work. I really need to get back into the habit of sketching.

What pen and ink were you using?

I agree. Something quite special, for me, in these sketches. Thank you for sharing them and making the effort to continue on to the coffee shop.

Lovely sketches! Venice is full of people sketching here and there. I've encountered whole classes sketching, too. I'm afraid I'll break their focus if I stop by to check what they're sketching.

I was using a Marine Green Sheaffer Balance that I picked up at a garage sale for $1.00. The ink is Robert Oster Chocolate. The sketches were done in a hard bound Strathmore sketchbook.
