Hi All! I am back on FPN after a long absence...and The Write Stuff was always my favorite thread, so of course i come here first. :)

Back in 2007, when i joined, i would never have guessed that we'd have goats one day!! But my 22 yr old son wants to be a farmer, so we started this venture last summer to nurture that interest.

Here are a couple ink sketches i've done...both without any pencil work underneath.

Have been away a while, but the urban sketchers got me inspired.

Here is a subUrban sketch of a rather stately home in the burbs.

If you think everything is going well... you obviously have no idea what is really going on!

Very interest linework style, like a continuous line.

Hi again! :)

It's not quite like or not at all similar, but it's also experience and gradual practice.

"Jude Law in glass" (dip nib indian ink sketch from photo)

The amount of details... I'm in awe.

A few experiments in the lettering style:

I'm trying (and failing) to find the right words to say how much I like this drawing.

Thanks!

Sorry:)

It`s cyrillic.

Раскуражился апрель
Солнце припекает,
И веселая капель
Бойко с крыш спадает.

Light translate:

Funny April is couraged
The sunlight to hot charged,
And merry merry cheerful drops
Are falling from the roof tops.:)

Very nice. Are you using white ink on some of those, or a masking agent and then painting over the masked sections?

Stunning gem after stunning gem! Love them all but the wreath of flowers in black is just gorgeous.

The post card 'experiments' were a success! Beautiful. Is there white ink in some of those ? It's hard to tell... some look like a resist or just really careful planning to let the paper show through, but some look a different colour than the paper (really nice job either way).

Hi!

Thanks guys!

I bought a few days ago Pebeo Drawing Gum(maskinh ink) and decided to experiment with it. First, you need draw the elements by Pebeo(or other masking drawing gum), then everything else by the other ink. After work, you need erase usually with an elastic gum all that was drawn by the masking ink.

ps: Where there is white on a black flower is a silver indian ink by Koh-I-Noor, it is difficult to show the shine in a photo.

Very nice. Of course I'm also a fan of the show (they've showed a couple of seasons here in the US on PBS). And I'm pretty sure I've spotted an FP or two in episodes, even though it's set in the 1960s, when ballpoints had largely taken over the world....
